Thats a shame, I've always been a fan of his. Best of luck to him in his future endeavours.

Kerr has increasingly become involved in community-based initiatives (i.e. youth sports participation for social good). I wonder if his next move is something in that vein.

Happy news. Hope he goes on to continue great work giving back to the community, and stays far far away from hosting radio.

I liked Kerr for the most part. But he did seem rather disconnected near the end. Always deferred to mclovin and Nault.

I'm usually pretty dispassionate about sports media personalities, I dont even hate Francis!, but I am really going to miss Rob Kerr. He came off very knowledgeable on most sports and had a genuine curiosity where he didnt. I will miss his perspective

Hmm, Millard and Kerr both leaving Rogers, both on the front page of CP at the same time.

Methinks Rogers are bleeding money faster than they care to admit, and cutting costs with a vengeance. I wonder who will be the next on-air personality to ‘voluntarily’ leave for a ‘very exciting opportunity’ in some other industry that is not going bankrupt?

Some may find him awkward, and some may not like his style, but the man knew how to keep a conversation going and enlightening, looking at obsure and acute agles on subjects to make them more interesting.

Calling games may not have been his forte, but Kerr knew radio.

I didn’t always agree with Rob’s take, and I was pretty up front about my dislike for him as a play by play guy, but he always came across as a good and well meaning person. I think he did some great charity work in the city too. Good luck Rob!

That sucks. I've been listening to Rob Kerr for a long time. However it sounds like he is transitioning into something without losing a beat.

Best of luck in everything going forward, Rob!

I wonder if his exciting opportunity is related to Francis's exciting opportunity?

Eric Francis, Darren Mallard, now Rob Kerr (and maybe more local personalities in other cities) leave in a span of a couple of months. Is there a new Canadian sport media coming?

Default Rob Kerr leaves Sportsnet and Fan 960

Absolutely all the best to Rob with whatever he does. I loved him on the air and all the coverage he’s delivered over the years.

Thanks Rob.

He did great work in 2004 when he was noticeably jazzed about what was happening.
