Rumour I heard is he got into a fist fight with a teammate before a game. Also, started questioning the coaching staff.
Lastly was on the trading block too and they had no offers.

Yeah I'm not sure if any team is going to sign him quite honestly. If you are so bad in the locker room that even Chris Jones can't tolerate you it's hard to imagine any coach in the CFL wants him on their team. It's not like he's an elite receiver. He's just got over 1000 yards twice in his career which is pretty pedestrian in a league where that's not exceptional as a more unheralded guy like Luke Tasker has been more productive.

Kavis Reed told media following the Als game tonight that he will reach out the Carter camp. That is from @HerbZurkowsky1, reporter with the Montreal Gazette.

Carter seems like a locker room cancer and if anyone remembers this, it’s Montreal. He was an allouette before he was a rider.
Sure, he’s a talented receiver and Al’s could use his talents... but at the risk of tainting the team?

What a joke Reed is. Does he not recall why they cut him in the first place a few seasons ago? A lot of players from that team (remember the Als player comment of worst teammate ever) are still on the roster and a guy like him is the last thing Manziel needs.

Translation: we are no longer in the babysitting and counselling business.
CTVDarrell:
Jones says the decision to release Duron Carter was not performance based; saying the team just decided it was time to go in a different direction. https://t.co/eEnhRJCwxM
Lol Kavis can't deal with his own players apparently already on the roster. I expect Wally to have interest as well.
@HerbZurkowsky:
While both GM Kavis Reed and head coach Mike Sherman claimed#@Tommie_Campbell#was scratched tonight for personal reasons, I was told post-game, by a source, it was because he refused to buckle his chinstrap during a practice, buckling only one strap

Maybe I was wrong;

It looks like several teams have reported interest. No surprise it's all teams that are slumping or not very good. I just don't understand why you would bring him in as he doesn't make teams better and he's not going to become a better teammate. I suppose when jobs are on the line people will get desperate.

Montreal has to sign him and give Manziel a target. Deal with the attitude issues later.

I actually wonder if Carter would fit in better this time around with Manziel at the helm. He’s no longer the “look at me” guy so maybe he can learn to keep his mouth shut and just play football.

Sounds like he's taking the place of Larry Brihm, Jr. (at the bottom of the article):
In another transaction, the Stampeders have released international quarterback Larry Brihm Jr. The rookie dressed for six regular-season games this season but did not see any game action.

Ah makes sense. For some reason I thought the Stamps had another QB. Totally forgot Larry even made the team.

As for Arbuckle, he's been excellent on short yardage for the Stamps this season. I'm waiting for DD to bring Arbuckle in on 2nd and short only to call a pass play and hopefully catch a team napping.

Lots of things today.
When I watched that hit on Manziel he pretty much went limp and was pushed around the turf. I was pissed when they put him back in, it was pretty clear that he was out cold.
The Rider's signing a 33 year old receiver who was good in his day but suffered a couple of major injuries makes no sense, I go back to, does nobody but the Stamps actually do any scouting. Could you not find a receiver out there among the 100's that are sitting by the phones after not getting drafted or being released that you could develop. I respect Rob Bagg as a veteran, but come on man, I guess 40 year old Owen's would have cost too much.
Carter by the way is going insane on his twitter account, he was taking CTE shots at all time Rider Jeff Fairhom.

I remember Riders fans back in December of 2015 gloating about the acquisition of John Murphy from the Stamps and basically saying that he was the guy finding all the talent for Calgary and doing all the heavy lifting for Huf. Well, he's in the third year in Regina and the results on the field don't seem to be backing up that claim.

Talking to Huff a few years back, and trust me I like Murph he was a great guest for us. But Huff was the brains behind the Huff and Murphy duo. He would basically tell Murph where to go and run camps and what to look for. Then Huff would take the final look.
From what I hear Cole, his son has a lot of hook ups to NFL teams and college teams and he's pretty brilliant at scouting, I would expect that when John steps down, his son steps up.
