I like where your head's at, sir. My other half gave me a $100 WestJet gift card as part of my Christmas present that I learned can't be used to pay for baggage / seat choices, so I guess it'll be used to recreate the It's Always Sunny, Wade Boggs episode. They may be able to follow my nose as well..

Don’t blame Dion, the High River is getting to his head. He’s out there eating rodents.

Didn't we have records set in March?

How much more moisture do we need to get out of the drought danger zone...

This isn't the maritimes, but I feel like we've had a lot over 6 weeks. There's no way we should come out of it in the red still. Otherwise I've got to say our land is a bit needy given the expected climate here.

Second snowiest March (and sixth snowiest month overall) since they started keeping records in the late 1800s.

For the most part the mountains and Southern Alberta are ok, but Central and Northern Alberta are dry.

Though drought conditions will depend much more on the May-August rains when most of the annual precipitation in Alberta occurs.

Okay, yeah that checks out.

I'm concerned for the potential "encore" that could be in store for northern alberta after last summer. I really hope they get pounded with rain in May and June.

The last map on that report shows that 365 day moisture is still well below average and definitely in drought for Southern Alberta. The next 2 months rain will be very important.

River in mid western Alberta we pull water from is already flowing heavier than it flowed at any time last year which is a bit surprising. Will be curious to see how that continues this year.

Didn't someone say a few months ago that snow doesn't come close to equaling rain in terms of actual water collection?

That is some heavy wet snow, with a nice sheen of ice underneath. Mega moisture.

Nasty combo for busses, one is already stuck in the middle of the intersection beside Panorama School
