Nashville Predators (19-9-1) at Calgary Flames (18-9-2) - 8:00 PM MDT
Projected lineups:
Calgary Flames:
https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/c...-combinations/
Nashville Predators:
https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/n...-combinations/
Lots of storylines for this battle of two top teams in the NHL. With Nashville's injuries and Calgary's suspensions and injuries there will be some adjustments for both teams.
Line combinations? Special teams? Impact of suspensions and injuries on the rest of the team? Goaltending?
Discuss!!

Random question, is there a buy and sell section on this forum? I'm selling a brand new jersey and figured I would post it here first.
Edit: Found it!

Gentlemen we need to take advantage of our games in hand over Nashville.

So remember where we'd look at games on the schedule like this and we'd quietly say to ourselves "What's my backup plan for this game past the first period?"

Ok, why on Earth would Brodie be playing LD with Hamonic? these two have no chemistry at all.

Turtle and I will not be able to watch tonight. We sincerely hope that the flames pull through on this one and win it for Gio and Lombo and seize first place in the conference!

If the Flames and Lightning win tonight in regulation the Flames will be 3rd overall in the NHL

You mean they had no chemistry at all under GG. Huge distinction to be made.
For two games, coming off strong starts to their seasons for both of them, why not give it a shot.

Obviously I’ve been enjoying the Flames amazing roll they’ve been on. But I’m totally interested in how they perform this weekend. D all mixed up. Backlund has been such an anchor down the middle. I still think I would move Lindholm to centre the second line. Anyways hopefully Janko and whoever grab their opportunity.
Go flames!

Wes Gilbertson @WesGilbertson
Now you know: #Flames call-up Alan Quine will become first in franchise history to wear No. 89 in regular-season action.
Kristen Anderson @KdotAnderson
Good morning from the Dome. #Flames second powerplay unit is practising before the morning skate and looks like this:
Hanifin-Ryan
Czarnik-Bennett-Neal

If the Flames win the next two games then clearly Giordano is redundant and can be traded.

My expectations for this weekend are certainly tempered with Gio and Backs not playing. I'll be happy with 2 points from these games. If we can somehow manage 3/4, I'll be over the moon.
I anticipate our D zone play will be a little messy with the captain out. Let's hope Smith and Rittich shut the door and the offence comes up big to compensate.

Why break up one of the best lines in the NHL?
With Forsberg and Arvidson out, thePreds are missing their top fire power. If our top line can win its battle, all we need from the other 3 lines is a draw.

Looking forward to seeing Quine. With he and Czarnik on the bottom line, they will have some serious zip.

The Neal breaks his slump and gets 1. Janko get's 1. Smith stands on his head and looks ridiculous in making the saves, followed by bragging to the media. 2-0 Flames

With Mark Giordano not playing tonight or tomorrow, looks like TJ Brodie will slot in on the team’s top powerplay unit. #Flames
