Hamilton has been the master of not turning into a corner multiple times in the past.
Onboard from Max. Just didn't turn in
For sure, including not that long ago at Silverstone (probably).
And Max would probably rather crash than give up any track, even with his own teammate.
I just look at that, and think if the stewards think that maneuver is OK, how could you ever overtake on the outside of a corner? The driver being overtaken covers the inside, brakes way to late, overshoots the corner and runs you off the road. You don't loose track position. Voila. Is that really what we want?

I’m not gonna lie, I’m tired of Merc winning and I’ve been a RB fan for years, but I have a strong dislike for Max. His dads an even bigger jerk. One of the worst people in all of F1. I have pretty much always liked Max’s partner more than him, even at Toro Rosso. It’s just that he’s the only guy who can take down Lewis and Merc.
Don’t get me wrong, I sometimes call Lewis a whiner but he’s generally a class act on and off the track.
I hate to say it but I wouldn’t be heartbroken if Lewis won this thing.

And where you're also in a sense inviting contact which is of benefit to you.
As Toto mentioned Hamilton did a fantastic job of avoiding contact
Hard to believe that a sport as technologically advanced as F1 can only access live one onboard camera at a time and couldn't access the forward facing footage at the time of event.
How much do you want to bet that Hamilton will use the paltry 5 grid penalty loophole and take another engine in the Saudi Arabia or Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and just have Mercedes turn that unit up to 11 again? With that crazy speed advantage, he’d have no problems passing more than 4 cars.
A few missed picks this week (3thirty + DFO this was your 2nd misses so next one is a 0, Jepworth this was your 3rd unfortunately).
Speede5 takes the top spot this week with 4 correct, fastest lap, and 8/10 for 25pts. 3thirty, despite the carryover picks, grabs second with 3 slot and 9/10.
No change at the top as DoubleK grows his lead by 4 over Btimbit.

Wondering that as well. The allowance of multiple engines without increasing the penalty in lock step is frustrating. I haven't been a fan long enough to know the history of the current penalty scheme, but swapping engines multiple times to ensure you're able to run the engine at unsustainable levels, makes it feel a bit rigged.

I could be wrong but I think they changed and simplified penalties recently because there used to be outrageous penalties, like 20 and 30 position grid penalties.
I expect they’ll change it back if Merc games their way to a win with the ridiculous engine changes.
Rumour is the reason Lewis is so fast is because they tuned the engine to the max and know the current one will only last a few races. That’s why he’s so much faster than even Max.
However I wonder why RB wouldn’t just do the same.
I guess it also depends on overtaking. Brazil is a fairly overtake friendly circuit. Not sure if Qatar or the other human rights black holes will be the same.

I can't embed the video, but if you look at Saudi through the onboard, those straights(and bendy straights) are super long. I could see a new Merc engine making mincemeat of competitors on that. Perhaps they use this engine again in Qatar, then grab a new one at Saudi for the last 2 races.
Watched FP2 this morning. Track looks generic, doesn't sound like there are a load of overtaking spots. Drivers like it, describing it as flowy. I'm just not sure it'll make for the greatest racing.
