I thought so too, until I saw the replay. He took his hand and grabbed the other players arm (Schwartz IIRC)

Gaudreau can't be the main offensive catalyst if this team wants to succeed in the playoffs. I've watched too many of these games where he just completely goes into a shell.
Hopefully Tkachuks can sustain his offense from the past few games, or we go out and get a scorer with size and some bite.

Brodie sucks. Period. No one is picking on him. No one wants him to fail, but he does. It was time to move on from him two years ago. This situation is not good for him and it’s not good for the Flames.

In terms of the cycle, there was an edge but the Flames didn't give up much in terms of space out there or ten bellers in the defensive zone. It was honestly one of their best defensive efforts.
Would be curious to see the chances on each side but the Flames could've realistically taken it 4-2 with the high quality chances they just whiffed on.
It could be said the Blues were lucky the Flames didn't cash in on those chances.

100% agree that Gaudreau was the reason that entire play unfolded. He was brutal tonight, like he is in most tight checking playoff style hockey games.
But Brodie really doesn't need to hold the guy down there. Its a bouncing 50/50 puck that the Blues player is lunging for. Schwartz is going to have to make a hell of a play to put that puck in the net. Brodie should have played that straight up. Taking a penalty all but surely ends the game.

Jesus Christ, dude. You're embarrassing. Get a grip, FFS. Maybe go outside for a few minutes and get some air, go for a walk, listen to some music, or watch a movie or something. You're gonna give yourself a heart attack if you're getting this upset over a hockey game.

Happy with the effort in the game. Overall, I give the Blues an edge but the Flames fought back hard in the third and carried majority of the play.
Pretty surprised that Lucic didn't see much (or any?) play in the third period considering he looked pretty good. I guess the entire 4th line was sitting so he was included in that
I thought Johnny's confidence would be back after that game against the Devils but he's still fighting it. Hope he can turn it around and build some consistency to his play, especially against better teams. There was a lot of faith from management that this core can get it done, and Johnny is at the forefront of that

Good grief, among the worst? The guy that was half of the top pairing in the league last year?
What can you do when someone is this detached from reality?

Yes. Why? Because although he has points he is not playing a team game, nor is his head in it (apparently anyway).
What other choice is there? A "nice talk" in the coach's office?
Johnny can be an incredibly effective player when he stops trying to do everything by himself. He needs to strip the puck from guys - he's great at that with a quick stick - then move it to a teammate and free himself up. Too often he tries to play it...and gets caught. THAT is what he needs to watch for a while. It's cost the Flames points - and that is what the TEAM is about.

BBF has always admitted to being related to Brodie. That’s not something a poster should have to apologize for.
