The Jim Jefferies show has been great, I couldn't find a working link for the North Korea bit, but the full interview with Bill Burr is hilarious. Do find the show and get it if you can, worth the watch.

Its like the conservatives in the US could give 2 ####s about what would happen to the people of South Korea.
Its not like that at all. That's the exact way it is. American conservatives don't give a #### about anything unless it affects them or their wallet directly. Sad, but that is the American right in a nutshell.

It is really disheartening to hear just how little attention is being paid to America's ally in South Korea. We are literally discussing nothing but Trump and North Korea and the threat to a possibly US missile strike, possibly Guam.
While of course that should get lots of attention in the US media; it should also be shouted on a near 30 min repeat all day that within 30 mins of a war breaking out on the peninsula you will see anywhere from 2 to 20 million people die. Maddog said the 20 million figure not more than a month ago in an interview.

It's been 67 years, not sure what is the best solution.
1. North Korea makes threats, Trump makes threats back, seen as insane
2. Trump bombs North Korea first, seen as insane and evil
3. Status quo? give sanctions then take away sanctions when North Korea threatens an attack?
Are we're finally at that point where North Korea is ready to launch?

Former Defense Secretary William Cohen makes exactly that case, NK would never follow through with these threats, at the end of the day all of this posturing is done to prop up the regime from within, and have a very strong hand in bargaining any future deals.

The other reason not to use Nukes in North Korea. Even though Nukes are far cleaner then they used to be, The distance between Pyongyang and Seoul is only 195 km's and if you look at the prevailing winds in Korea that head South and East, South Korea would get a fallout shower.

It's not clear to me that there would be many people left to be worried about the fallout. The conventional barrage would basically destroy everything from Gyeonggi on north. I guess Busan, Daegu, those sorts of places would be out of range, and you'd have some people not in metropolitan areas, but the majority of the population is in range of the guns. What's the greater Seoul area, 20 million?

I get what your saying, and we're on the same side. But unless they use persistant chemicals or bio agents, that land is still viable for reconstruction or farming or whatever.
South Korea isn't a big enough country to survive the loss of viable land from fallout.

Some bad stuff might come of this, but likely not directly from the SJC. Grassley is hell-bent on trying to discredit Fusion GPS and they're going to comb these documents for anything they can find to suggest an agenda against Trump.
Also remember that NYAG Eric Schneiderman is looking into Trump and his deals. Rumors out of NY have Schneiderman with indictments against Trump and his kin, but waiting for the feds to get their investigations done first. The belief is that if any charges come of those investigations, and Trump uses a pardon to protect anyone, that Schneiderman will use those pardons as support for his charges. Pardons do not extend to state charges, so regardless of what happens federally, Trump and his nest of pit vipers could be looking at jail time and seizure of property by the State.
I'd love nothing more than to see Trump and his family led away in handcuffs, but the content in the article actually seems to suggest that the chances of his condo towers landing him in hot water are slim to none given the protection by US regulations which are in place to keep purchasers largely anonymous.
"Given the scrutiny special counsel Robert S. Mueller III is likely to bring to Trump Tower in coming months, the good news for the president is that this unsavory customer service is completely legal in most cases. Thanks to the lobbying power of the real estate industry, efforts by national and international law enforcement to crack down on corrupt money flows have scarcely touched the condo trade."

The US had been at the point of Mutually Assured Destruction for a long time with many countries. South Korea is at the point of MAD with North Korea already. So the fact the NK can't hit Seattle yet is rather irrelevant when they can easily deliver mass casualties into SK.
Treat the North Korean State as an adult member of the Nuke club. They earned it.
Surest sign yet Manafort has flipped or is going to flip: New Enquirer story out claiming he's cheating on his wife and more. I'm almost convinced the piss tape is real. Better question might be is there an even worse tape out there (like one say involving underage girls....)

That doesn't look connected to the Russia investigation, or am I missing something?
Sorry, didn't mean for that to appear they were related. Just that the FBI have been busy little beavers in the past 48 hours and have been raiding a lot of places. If a guy shows up in your Starbucks wearing a FBI jacket, he may not be there for coffee.
