Most people are blaming Gaudreau for putting Brodie in a bad position and having to take the penalty. You aren't.
Does this mean you can't see faults in Gaudreau's game, like the rest of us?

Game Takes:
Blues 3 Flames 2 (OT)
- another damn OT PP loss
- great point after starting the third down two against cup champs
- Tkachuk continues to roll
- points in 7 of last 9 games

Brodie sucks. Period. No one is picking on him. No one wants him to fail, but he does. It was time to move on from him two years ago. This situation is not good for him and it’s not good for the Flames.
|
No, he does not suck, in your opinion you think he sucks, that does not mean that he sucks.

So in all the PGT turmoil, have been thinking about Johnny.
He will be fine but what can he do to elevate his game and deal with this style of heavy hockey come playoff time?
Are there examples of other smaller JG type players who have been able to make the required adjustments? Patrick Kane?

I agree that Johnny had a brain fart and TJ didn't have to do the arm grab. I think he was just trying to prevent the goal.
I don't take your hate for TJ personally. I am fully aware that he's not the perfect hockey player and I get irritated when he makes mistakes, just like the other players. I do think however, he does a lot more for this team than you think.
Just take it easy, you are irrationally angry. Take a deep breath and don't say anything more you'll regret. It's not worth it. No hard feelings.

Respectfully disagree. Teams have taken away a lot of the plays he used to like making. Not really seeing much adjustment from him or his linemates.
3 in 3 in particular has evolved a lot over last 2 years. Has Gaudreau?

Well, may be you and I watched a different game. I didn't see them outplayed by the Blues, let alone most of the game. I saw a very evenly played game, the Blues pounded on their chances early. Of course, the Blues deserved the 2 points and the Flames deserved their 1 point.

Tkachuk on fire with 19 points
Gaudreau a bum and should be benched 17 points
Gaudreau had a poor game but let's not be ridiculous

But getting a point against the cup champs when your top line does nothing, you run with it.

The Blues played a great road game right up until the last 10 minutes when they let it fall apart a bit. I felt like it was a pretty close game, the Blues are just really good.

I think they actually played well the whole game too, especially the third period. I just knew they would tie it up. The OT was unfortunate but they've won 4/7. I think the team is hitting it's stride. Johnny was fantastic when his dad was there the other night- maybe he just needs a bit more confidence. He'll be ok. Hanifin is noticeably sooo good without Hamonic too- wow. Fun game to watch.

Maybe it's just differing opinions. That's okay.
Although DjsFlames made a point about the Flames completely missing on a good number of quality chances that had they buried would've been a different outcome, which was a good point.

It is (or rather was since he's banned now) his schick. He's the most miserable, negative poster for any sport team he follows on the board. It's was the same with the Blue Jays, and I believe also the Raptors.
