The Heat got a PP but someone flubbed a puck and San Jose went the other way on a breakaway to score.
Angelidis then scored on what sounds like a good 4th line shift. 3-2.

The rookies have been racking up the points, but you can't discount the goal scoring provided by Frattin, Bollig, and Angelidis.

4-2 going into the 3rd. It would be an improbable comeback but Stockton is good enough to pull it off.

Doesn't sound like they have much jump in them.
They do have firepower though.

Great tip in by Janko off a Frattin shot after some defensive adventures by the Heat.
4-3!

Stockton needs to kill a penalty ... little over 4 to go.
Nice to hear Lomberg is getting PK time.

Lomberg set up Kylington in the slot shorthanded but the San Jose goalie came up huge. Then the Barracuda went the other way, and a costly pinch by one of Stockton's D let the Barracuda go in on a 2-1 and they made it 5-3.
They just added an EN as well, and now Stockton is going onto a late 5 on 3 but there's not going to be any time left.
6-3 final.

The Heat seem to be getting outshot pretty badly the last several games. 43 shots is ridiculous.

I noticed this as well., it's getting just stupid. You know it's bad when Gillies has allowed 9 goals in the last 3 games but still has a .936 SV%

Yes, it's a bit concerning and hopefully not a sign of a 2nd half collapse coming.
They were routinely out shooting teams all season, which indicates a decent possession team.
The last three games however, they were out shot 47-25, 49-25 and 44-25
Hopefully a trend that stops after Christmas.
Previous batch of December games were as follows: (Heat shots first)
43-32
39-37
15-28
41-31
33-25
28-30

Does anyone have the knowledge / time to write up a first half report for Heat?
Lots of great stories to look at in the first half.

I second this. If we had a detailed report of how awesome many of our prospects are playing it can be posted to the main forum and start generating some more hype. I feel like there's not enough interest or excitement in the team right now and that shouldn't be the case.
To have so many young players in the NHL while having our 2nd tier of prospects ripping up the AHL simultaneously is amazing and shows just how deep this team is in regards to young talent. It's the reason a player like Agostino was let go even though he deserved the QO. He's leading the AHL in points right now, but we've replaced him with first year pros and haven't looked back.
We need some more feel good stories on the main boards right now and the Stockton Heat feels good man.

I also miss Drury's stats spreadsheet. Is there a link to the heat stats?

Any chance he is the next call up, or do the Flames take look at some one who hasn't got one, like Klimchuck ?

Vey, Shinkaruk and Janko all had call ups already.
Hathaway too, and he stuck because he fits a 4th line role perfectly where as those others dont'.
Pribyl was probably getting close to getting one, but got hurt and hasn't played since Dec 3rd.
Klimchuk has cooled off offensively since a ridiculous hot start, but he might be next in line. Also Mangiapane is having an unreal rookie season, but being a rookie they might want to take their time with him.
If I had to guess I would say Klimchuk or Poirier would be the next to get called up if the need is a top three line winger.
If the need is a center, probably Janko. (Pribyl would have gotten a look if healthy IMO)
