The Coyotes shocked the Red Wings as Connor Ingram makes 28 saves for the SHUTOUT. I had to a double take when I read that Ingram is tied in being the shutout leader with 6 this season. The Coyotes win stops a 7 game home losing streak. That's a big loss by the Red Wings as they are barely hanging on to a playoff spot.
No surprise that the Stars shot down the Ducks. Gibson was the Ducks bright spot as he faced 36 shots and kept the score down. The Stars PP was 3/5.
The Avs keep on rolling with their OT win with Nichuskin's PPG OT winner. both goalies played well, the shots were 40-30 for the Avs. Gustavsson was in net for the Wild and Georgiev for Colorado.
The Jets get their revenge by beating the Kraken on their home ice. The difference in the home/away series was the Jets goalies. Brossoit was in net for this game and made 17 saves for the SHUTOUT. Daccord was in net again for the Kraken and made 29 saves in the loss. There was only 1 minor penalty called in the game.
The wins by the Stars, Jets, and Avs keep the teams 2 points apart for 2nd place in the western conf. It is also now a 4 way tie for 9th place in the west with the Wild getting a point.
