I'd like the Jets to bring the cup north before Van, Toronto or Edm.

It would go against all the self assured garbage from all the pundits that we've had to listen to for months, which would be delicious.

Realistically it'll probably be Vegas x2, Colorado, Dallas or Florida

Canuck fans have to be just as nervous as Oiler fans, with the way the deadline went.

Also, if I'm a Nuck fan (and thank the blessed hockey gods that I'm not), I am REALLY rooting for Vegas to pass LA (or drop out of the playoffs, which is very unlikely). I would NOT want to face VGS in round one, and would much rather get LA

Did you like... read my post and decide if you take it completely out of the context of what was being talked about and ignore the last line you could get one up on me and be able to take a little parting shot?

I'd say "You're smarter than this," as some sort of cute little call back to your post but we'd both know it isn't true so I'm just gonna make it so I don't have to deal with you anymore.

I don't root for any other team, especially a Canadian team. So I guess I'll go with.. Florida. Only Canadian team I want to win is the flames.

Not really. Canucks have made the most trades on the season and didn't have the cap space or assets to make anymore deals. It was always going to be a blood bath to get out of the west.

Considering the style of the Kings seems to be a perfect antithesis for the Canucks play style, I'm not sure that's true. I think more accurately, we hope both those teams pass the Predators in points and we get the Preds who the Canucks always seem to have the number for.

The Canucks may have made a lot of trades, but they haven't made any good ones in a while

Seems like a silly take based on "feelings" over " actual results." The moves made have the team closing in on an almost 40 point improvement over last year while retaining their top prospects and players in the AHL. The only move that hasnt worked out to at or above expectations is Lindholm, so I guess if we are only going off "Most recent trade made" then... Sure. But even that one has more than lived up to expectations on the defensive side of the puck.

TBQH, I do not want any of the Canadian team bring the Cup back to Canada besides Flames.

I just care about our conditional picks, Vegas can get to round 2, Stars to finals, Canucks to conference finals. Canucks one I might be cool with them not getting, but I'll actively cheer for the other two.

I cheer against all the other Canadian teams. But the Oilers more than the rest.

Me as well...I cheer against the Oilers and Leafs more than the rest. If they get knocked out in the first round, I'll be super happy.

Default Post TDL; who is/are your favourite(s) for the Cup?

I listed the teams that I didn’t want to playing for the Cup earlier, here are the teams I would like to see going deep into the playoffs:

Boston
Dallas
Vancouver

The deadline muddied it a bit for me (Vegas and Winnipeg loaded up quite nicely) but my picks are still Dallas and Florida.

If Colorado had upgraded in net I might take them over Dallas, but they did not. Winnipeg is tricky for me to evaluate, I feel like I should be more bullish on them than I am, and yet...

I think its a lack of trust in their core to show up when it matters after years of coming out flat in POs.

Didn't know where to put this, but pretty strange TDL

Players worth a 1st Rd Pick: Monahan, Henrique, Sean Walker.

Players not worth a 1st Rd Pick: Guentzel, Toffoli, Tanev.

Very strange indeed. Goes to show the importance of centers over wingers on a team. I remember a couple years back that Henrique was close to being bought out, and obviously Monahan was only moved with with a first round pick added. Two players who had little value at one point are now worth first rounders +.

Oh and since Oilers fans may disagree with Henrique being bought out. It was brought up back in 2021 by The Athletic.

I'm going with the Avs, added depth up front, Nichushkin back, Makar healthy and MacKinnon looks like he's on a mission.

Calgary Flames v New York Rangers

What I wouldn’t give for that dream final.
