I’m going to go out of limb and say Dallas>New York>Colorado>Vegas. New York for the first time ever, seems well rounded. I’m still concerned about how their offence performs when they really need them but that’s something that’s bound to eventually work out. Dallas is my winner because when their goaltending is good it’s unbeatable. He’ll steal a series and ride the wave to the finals.

Cup faves? Colorado. Then Dallas, then whoever else in the west.

They'll be meeting the Panthers in the final, that's all I know.

I'll be cheering for the Jets. Our man Monahan deserves a run.

Great goaltending and a GM who just doesn't quit until he gets his man. The strong, silent type.

From the West there are three or four teams that could make a run (but not Florida good). Dallas looks very good. Vegas, if they get in. Colorado.
It would appear that the WCF winner would have had to have gone through a tougher gauntlet than the ECF winner. The playoffs often have a way of altering the initial narrative.

Vegas looked awful against your Canucks last night but maybe they'll pull it together for a second run.

Oh, they looked toothless last night. It put into perspective why Vegas fans are so annoyed with the 'cheating' talk.

They are at risk of missing the play-offs entirely. Stone is that team's driving force. Without him they are listless. I am sure the team would happily take a healthy Stone over every asset they just acquired and what they traded for those assets.

Something talked about on the broadcast last night, if you take their unbeaten streak to start the season away they are a sub actual .500/at NHL .500 hockey team. They have been inconsistent and underwhelming.

I'd still hate to see them in a 7 game series.

I'd be happy to see the Canucks (and Kraken) beat the Knights in their remaining two games each... That would become a pretty big hole to dig out of.

It's so hard to make up points in the NHL, so even if they're losing games one of the teams chasing them also needs to start consistently winning. Like I said, they're at risk of missing but I still don't think it's likely.

Moneypuck has the Knights down to a 59.9% chance of making the playoffs. No team behind them has a very good chance, but there are so many of them.

Yep, there are currently three teams that could rattle off a four game winning streak and even if Vegas manages to stem the bleeding a bit and go 2-2 in their next four, suddenly they're only 2 points up with 15 games remaining.

Is it likely? No. But they're not safe by any means. They need to find some desperation.

With a 4th liner that averages 8 min a game who, according to some, is worth more than any all star goalie. Deep team on the cusp.

Seriously though, I really like what Winnipeg has done.

Nothing had changed from my pre-season prediction, Carolina over Dallas.

If MacKinnon and Makar are on their games I still think they could make some major noise. But there some really good teams in the West, the first round is going to be awesome. If I had to pick one I'd say Florida, just because the West will be such a struggle to get out of.

Florida
Colorado
Dallas
Carolina
Winnipeg
Rangers

.......are probably my top 6 picks.

Yadda yadda yadda. Canucks didn't get anywhere near vegas' best and you know it.

Injuries and coming off a cup win.

If the Canucks were ever in the same spot you wouldn't be surprised by a lull either. Doesn't mean the team is any worse. In fact it may be even better now.

They'll be back in time for playoffs.

You're smarter than this.
