But he's a veteran. If you're just playing out the stretch at this point, they'd probably much rather just throw a vet in there on an expiring deal than ruin the confidence of one or both of their young goalies night after night.

They could wait until as late as probably 90 minutes before the deadline to make the claim tomorrow so maybe they work on some other channels but if nothing comes to fruition it's probably tempting.

Their confidence can't be any more ruined than it is. The team is awful defensively and that will not improve this season.

Raanta is statically worse in every category that Daws/Schmid.
