You don't win 15 in a row without playing well, but they are also on an insane PDO heater right now. I haven't seen all the games, but when I've watched, they haven't been outplaying teams, just getting the goals and the breaks.

Skinner 1.3 GAA in his last 13
PK is 38 of the last 39
PP running near 40% at the same time

Today has been a perfect example: 0-0 at 5on5 and the Preds have had the better looks. Two posts, a butt-end, a missed open net. The puck won't go in for them.

They won't keep this roll into the playoffs. Just keep riding Skinner every night, EDM - you know you want to!

Meh rarely teams with these type of streaks in the regular season go anywhere in the playoffs. When they choke in the playoffs, this streak will not be remembered.

I agree with most of what you wrote. But 15 hopefully 16 games in a row is a feat even if they aren’t dominating and relying on their goaltending a little more than in the past. Yes, I’m all for riding Skinne, I never wavered on him even in November.

They finally play a legit contender next game, but the Knights are still missing Eichel, so the lucky breaks just keep on coming for the Oilers. Unreal. I wouldn’t be surprised if Vegas starts their backup goalie as well.

Anyone who has been watching this team during this streak knows that that team is smoke and mirrors.

They struggle to generate offense in pretty much every game, and they clearly aren’t as good on defence as they have been on this streak. They get breaks in every game, and the other team hasn’t.
