My wife was hankering for Peter's DI milkeshake tonight so I went up there - my god - it was lined up two full blocks down 16th avenue.
Bailed and get her a shake from Harveys instead.

We tried earlier this afternoon and is was the same! Was hoping maybe it might quiet down this evening but it doesn't sound like it.

I had no idea Harvey's even made shakes. Are they any good?

Carl's Jr on 16 Ave/10 St NW also does ok shakes with no massive lineup. Their burgers are better than Peter's too.

Five Guys does a good milkshake too. And they have really good burgers IMO. I think the closest would have been in Sunridge though.

I’m happy to see Savour Calgary has replaced the defunct City Palate for local foodie news:

It's tasty, but holy hell it's expensive.

One was enough for 2 adults. So 2 orders would feed a family of four plus maybe some leftovers for lunch!

Few more mentions.

Did the lobster rolls from Eight few weeks ago. Would do again for lunch.

Criminally underrated Carino Riserva is still open. Get the dumpling lasagna thing. It is probably on my top 3 list of things eaten in Calgary. The Ramen is excellent to (I think it is the best in town) and zero wait list

Thanks, could only bag one order of the al pastor for today, but added an order of the soft shell crab tacos and the guacamole and chips. Looking forward to it!

Yeah, it's pretty good. We usually get the enchiladas.

They have (had?) a horchata drink fountain.

Does anyone else find it a little incredible that we can basically order soft shelled crab whenever we want? You'd think they'd be a lot more expensive.

Well that was freaking delicious! Going to have to have that more often, and mix in some Moose & Poncho too.
