Figured out my interior! Won’t be long till it’s pretty much done. And it was Free!!
Already had some fun jobs in it.
BMW Z3 waterpump
And fixed the bumper on same car
Fun stuff I would have never done without my garage

Stang, what was the thinking on the vertical white boards? The blue obviously makes sense but why not go horizontal on way more, or all of it, to provide options for hanging?
Just curious. Also, what is that board called?

It’s a plastic panel called Vic west Agtuff. The blue is slatwall. Just for hanging. I have a couple buddy’s with the stuff and they love it. No rust, chem resistant and can pressure wash it. Never needs painting, and is easy to pop out and fix or change stuff behind it.

Thanks. Definitely not perfect because I didn’t have 12’ panels but can’t complain with free panels. And way better then before. I’m hoping to epoxy the floor with the money saved.

Epoxy cover makes a world of difference. I did mine last summer, and I can't believe I didn't do it sooner. Cost wise, I bought 2 of the kits from Home Depot (Coverage for me was half of what the box said. So when it said it covered a double garage, it was a little more than half for me), an extra box of flakes (looks WAY better with more flakes), and 2 boxes of clear coat from Cloverdale paints (enough for 2 coats of clearcoat). I also added in the non-slip pellets to the mix. All in all, it cost my about $600 in total supplies.
It survived the winter so well, and this summer for cleaning, all I had to do was pressure wash and squeegee out. It looks brand new still too.

Hey! I was just going to post that the garage is officially done! DONE! Did the baseboards, casing, trim etc, just put the door weatherstripping on, and got the furnace wired. I need a gas guy to finish that, but MY work is done, done done!
Looking back to this post,

I broke ground July 24....2017. So only 2 years! Telus Sky is taking way longer than that.

Well it's a good thing I got my jab in before your post or that would have been awkward.

Epoxy is great, I'd recommend talking to the guys at PSC, I'm not sure what you used but theirs is an all epoxy solids and I think it was $220 for the topcoat, which you can also have tinted for a base, so probably $500ish for everything for a standard garage. Should last a lot better than the Rustoleum kits, from what I have read. It's the 2301 product.

Glad to hear it’s done Fuzz! I have to finish the panels, and re position my lights, and then I’m done. Epoxy is a luxury so that’s not part of being done to me lol. Plus I have 1500 feet to do haha
Figure I’m about $90,000 into the garage.
Oh yeah I need a load or 2 of gravel.

1500? Wow, that's double mine! Good job on getting it done so quickly. I do notice a distinct lack of mudding/taping/paint the ceiling though! But I don't blame you, that part sucked. Lots.

I’ll hire that out lol
I want to find the best spots for my lights first. When my buddy was helping run wires we put them here, I hate them where they are. Think I’ll add 3 more and push closer to the edges. No point in finishing roof till I’m happy with that.

I managed to get my garage done for around $70,000. It's the same size as yours, but I guess when you add a couple of feet to the height, it would add a lot of cost to it. I know you had to put in 12' high walls to suit the existing house, so you had to put in footings and foundation walls. In my case, I just put in 10 foot high walls so I could get away with just slab thickened edges, so that saved me a lot of money. My services were expensive because I had to have them brought in on site - about $2500 for power and about $8,000 for gas. Anyway, my garage is also done - I just need the gas hooked up.

I'm still not sure why Fuzz didn't build his garage Adobe style. He could have made use of all this clay we keep hearing about.
