Andrew Harris becoming the Riders running backs coach is quite the development.

I guess they were the only team calling him in regards to coaching. It will be strange for Bombers fans to see him on the Riders sideline for sure.

Makes sense why we didn't go after another back if Mills is dialed in he is one of the better backs in the league. He has the power to go between the tackles, and he has the speed to be a slasher as well.
Sounds like BC is working hard to restructure receiver or just cut them because they are making too much. A market reset might be coming for that position, Edmonton, Winnipeg and BC seemed to spend a ton at that position.

It makes sense that the Lions are prioritizing McInnis, but if Jevon Cottoy becomes available, I hope DD makes a strong push to bring him to Calgary. He's a national receiver and a big target at 6'5" tall. He took a step back in 2024, but had a really good 2023. I guess we'll wait and see what happens.

He grew up here as well. Went to Forest Lawn High School.

How do we feel about the draft? I am still in the Rourke camp, he wont be here for a while anyways but you don't get a shot at a QB like that often in the draft.
Not many linemen or receivers who the Stamps love to take with that 1st pick.
I am also not that familiar with them, so if we are to skip the QB I can see the Dline being what we go after especially after trading Judge and the linebeing a focus.

I would pick Rourke as a long term investment but people with jobs on the line likely see things differently. Stamps need help in the trenches so Shand could be the pick.

Yeah, I would as well. EE, you are also right that the Stamps need help in the trenches, but the highlight reels out there for receiver Elic Ayomanor are very impressive.

I agree but taking WR's high hasn't worked out well for the Stamps and Philpot re-signing makes the national WR position less of a need.

It's very likely going to happen that way but people have jobs on the line and picking Rourke may end up benefiting Dave's replacement.

I guess we need to wait and see how free agency goes, but for an organization that has taken some lumps this off-season, guys are still signing to come and play in Calgary.

lol - Chris Jones did a great job, but I can no longer work with him.
It’s unclear why Milanovich didn’t bring the 57-year-old native of South Pittsburg, Tenn. back to Steeltown for 2025 as he declined to address the move when addressing the media from the CFL’s recent offseason winter meetings in Charlotte, N.C.
“The specifics of what did or didn’t happen with Chris, I’m not going to get into those,” he said. “What (Jones) was able to do in the last seven weeks of the season with our defence, I thought was outstanding. I’m happy for Chris, he’s closer to home — great opportunity working with Coach Belichick. I still believe he’s one of the greats in our league.”

That's good, the Ticats were my one kind of neutral team I could cheer for against everyone else I hate.

The Calgary Stampeders have re-signed Canadian linebacker Micah Teitz ahead of the opening of free agency.
A Calgary native, Teitz first joined his hometown Stampeders ahead of the 2024 season. He played all 18 games, registering 10 defensive tackles, 12 special-teams tackles, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
“We’re excited to keep Micah in Calgary,” general manager and head coach Dave Dickenson said in a statement. “His work ethic and versatility are two things that will make us better in 2025.”
