Default Lightbulb question

Had a lightbulb in one of our bathrooms go out but I've never seen this type of bulb before. Could anyone enlighten me as to what they're called so I'd have something to search for?

Spoiler!

Does anyone make decent LED bulbs to replace halogen? I can feel the heat coming off the ones in my bathroom vanity as I shave and that’s just wasted electricity.

Came expecting a good “how many xxxx does it take to screw in a lightbulb?” joke. I’m disappointed.

They are pretty much all the same (use the same LED chips) I like 3500K strikes a good balance. If you need dimmable then you're probably limited to 2700K and 5000K.

....dug through my purchase history these are nicest I've found for indoor colour temp if you need A19 bulbs. They are dimmable.

Do you mean ones like this? I haven’t tried ones like this myself, but they should work ok:

Yeah the tube shaped ones. Philips should be trust-worthy so I might try that.

Had the electronics in a Philips explode on me recently. Was a nice bulb when it worked.

Why light bulbs don't last as long as they could.

There's lots but they aren't always perfect... The ones I tried were overpriced and didn't even fit in the fixture anyways (right bulb size, they're just too fat to fit in my fixture)
