2021 2nd is a key point for me. Much less valuable than a 2020 1st at this point.

Kind of.
Green is in his late 30s.
He's also currently uninjured.

I'd love a 2nd for Hamonic. But I think teams have to be sure he's healthy first.

Hamonic should be more valuable than Greene.
On a side note, impressive career for Greene with the Devils. 923 games with them.

Hamonic is easily worth more than a 2nd. Kris Russell returned more than that and Hamonic is more highly thought of than Russell was. Hamonic should get a 1st imo

Maybe, but the rental market is definitely getting softer than in years past.
Maybe a conditional first, but I can't see an outright first. Of course, it's possible a team will start to get desperate close to the deadline, but GMs seems to be learning, at least a little bit.

The strength of draft plays a factor as well, this draft is supposed to be deep so it'll likely make getting one much harder, I don't see Hamonic netting that much.
He won't be traded anyways though IMO.

Christ if that is what Andy Greene is worth BT should be able to get a decent haul for Hamonic and Brodie.

If Andy Greene had separated his shoulder last week, do we think he gets this same return, or do we think that would impact his value?

I'd love more, but I wouldn't do a Cammalleri 2.0 situation where you hold on to him just because you overvalued him.

If they hang on to him it’s likely because they still want to make the playoffs and/or want to re-sign him
Different situation than the Cammalleri year
We haven’t even really heard that he’s being shopped

Nothing against Hamonic, but Greene was the Devils' captain for 5 years, and he's getting back together with Lou who signed him as a undrafted free agent 14 years back, and the Isles need to stock up for the run in the playoffs, not to them.
Bottom line, there are certain intangibles that the Isles are paying for that wouldn't be there with Treliving shopping Hamonic.

I have given up any hope on intellectual honesty from the this flames management. y guess is that they will not try to get any value by dealing Brodie or hamonic, and will instead try to double down on the mediocre team in place. In fact, I actually think treliving will strike out even in this, but we'll hear a ear load of how close the flames came to landing all the big names moved.

Intangibles like he's been the lineup for the last week.
I sort of feel like I'm on crazy pills right now.
Everyone knows hamonic has been injured for over a week now, right? He's not just banged up, he's on injured reserve.
Who is trading, let alone top dollar, for an injured player?

I would still trade him for whatever you can get, unless he is done for the season.
