Miikka Kiprusoff was the first goalie to get the shoutout/shootout loss combo

Playfair was apparently complaining about the call itself, not that it shouldn’t count because of the goal.

No, that was a great result. And if you watched, Chicago didn’t look that great - just better than the Oilers.

Isles 2-8 and Canes 2-6 since their big deadline moves.

Wild have benefitted from a soft spot in their schedule as they are just past the half-way mark of an 8 game stretch where they played a shorthanded Blue Jackets team twice, Red Wings, Sharks, and have the Kings and Ducks on the weekend so safe to say they should have 4 more points by the end of this week.

I think he is suggesting it is odd that the ones you cannot watch, thus cannot comment on, are the losses.

(I make no comment on when you post or not vis-a-vis wins or losses.)

That’s fair. I caught the last 2 minutes on the radio last night. Thought it sounded like a good game till I got home and saw the stats ha.

Final scores

The Flyers have won 8 in a row! They are tied with the Capitals and have their sights set on the Bruins for 1st place in the east even though the Flyers are 11 points back. The Hurricanes loss keeps them 3 points back of the 8th place Islanders. The Flyers had no penalties called against them.

The Rangers win a 6-5 thriller in OT at MSG. It was the Zibenijadian show with his 5 goals while OV had 2 goals. The Rangers are now 2 points back of the 8th place Isles.

The Penguins beat the Sabres as they keep pace with the Flyers and Caps.

The Islanders were surprised by the Senators. That was a big loss for the Isles in the tight eastern race.

Saros with the 33 save SHUTOUT as the Predators beat the Stars 2-0 in the first game of a home/away series. It was the 3rd shutout for Saros in his past 15 starts.

Vasilevskiy with the 32 save SHUTOUT as the Habs suffered 4 Lightning strikes, Tampa Bay won 4-0 and are 2 points back of the Bruins for 1st place in the eastern conf.

The Bruins just get past the Panthers in OT. Heartbreaking loss for the cats as they can't make up ground on the Leafs.
