Default Ghost Pepper Burrito at Mucho Burrito

Walked by a Mucho Burrito after having lunch at another restaurant.

Saw them advertising a Ghost Pepper Burrito and wondered if any CPers have given it a try?

http://ca.shine.yahoo.com/blogs/shin...184158193.html

Quote:
As of Monday, Mucho Burrito diners can order the special burrito in two designations: Hotter than Hell and Wimpy. The special runs until Nov. 2, or perhaps more fittingly, Mexico's Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead.)

Both burritos come with ghost pepper bacon, ghost pepper-infused fig marmalade, spicy Mexican rice, salsa and a choice of meat — not that you will be able to taste much once that pepper starts to work its magic.

While "Wimpy" certainly isn't by any standard, the Hotter than Hell is where you'll get your money's worth. Because in addition to all the pepper-laced ingredients, these bad boys get topped off with a splash of pure Ghost Pepper sauce.
Think I might try it next week.

Dammit to hell, I'll have to try this and will no doubt annihilate my self for days.

If I stop posting on CP, it will because I am dead.

I think I'd try the wimpy. I doubt I could ever do the hotter than hell. Though if the wimpy was good than I might give it a try.

Mucho Burrito is a pretty decent place. I've been happy the two times I went there.

Of course I know what it is from, but I couldn't find the South Park version that wasn't some idiot using his camera to record the image from the TV.

Eating it right now, and yes it is very hot. I went with the hotter than hell one of course, it packs quite a punch to it and unfortunately removes much of the flavor.

Still worth a try though. Although, I think the hot salsa they serve is actually spicier.

Just don't try and cool off with a Dr. Pepper... it just makes the situation a whole lot worse.

Just had one from the food court down below. Went wimpy as I love spice, but too hot just hurts (and sometimes renders me with hiccups).
It was delicious. Nice flavours from the usual burrito. Went with steak.

I just got the "Hotter than Hell" and I think they screwed something up.

I've had regular plain old hot wings that were hotter than this.

Weak. Sauce.

Tried it on Thursday or Friday last week. Got Wimpy and it was pretty hot, definitely nothing outrageous. The fig marmalade taste was overpowering.

My buddy and I tried the hotter than hell. He devoured it and I only ate about half (wasn't hungry). While it is the hottest thing I have ever eaten, I was expecting more from the Ghost Burrito.

Got to try a wimpy today. I thought it was really good. Not really that spicy, but enough bite that you had a nice warm feeling in your mouth.

I might try the hotter than hell next time. I guess they are done on the 31st.

The guys at the Shawnessy location made me the biggest burrito I ever had though. It was just stuffed with toppings. Definitely got my money's worth. Was a yummy burrito and a good experience.

Bump..

Had the hotter than hell for lunch. Didn't taste hot until afterwards. I think the bottom of the burrito where the sauce collects is what really got me. Manage to get through the entire thing but had to down the 500 ml of pop afterwards.
