I didn't realize it was you that took Boyle as well... I was going to make a similar post about that pick... yes, you're recent picks have been great.
Well played, sir.
I'm a big fan of Johansson, I hope he finds his way into a Flames uniform

Wow were almost done. Took us long enough especially with all of these people dropping out or not responding.

It would be cool if, once we are finished picking, each team retained all of the players/prospects from their team that weren't drafted. Each team would also have all 7 draft picks for this upcoming draft and each team could then start making trades. I think a few people might reclaim their teams now that they are drafted and it would be easy to handle the occasional pm about a trade proposal. I also think we could make the waiver wire work as well, if you want to call up a player who has been called up and is doing well then you have to send a struggling player down who would then be subject to waivers. All the contracts that the players are signed to currently, the amount, the term, the length, are obviously the contracts that we would use but it would be interesting to hold our own free agency period, I just don't see how it could fairly be done. We could hold our own draft though, standings would be based on which team got the most points/goals as well as Wins from their goalies. Just a thought.

Same here. I looked through the picks thread and roster threads and didn't see his name. GirlySports will be happy with that auto-pick for sure.

He's on Tampa Bay, pick someone else for Washington. I was going to pick Perron in that round too if he had made it back to me
5-27 Tampa Bay, David Perron

Your Penguins look good... top-line C is the most glaring weakness... lots of depth though... well done

Thanks PlayfulGenius! Center overall is actually my most glaring weakness, especially my top 2... I knew I was gambling huge on McDonald. Once Burish gets healthy though he and Kelly should make up for the loss of AM. I wish I had thought of picking a #1 center early, they were completely gone by the time I had to go with Grabovski. This whole thing was insanely fun though, props to all the guys/gals who kept it going Hockey_Ninja, Cherrio, PG, Hockey, Girlysports etc. There were a lot of doubters and a lot of believers and I am glad to see it finish!! We still should think about letting all teams retain prospects and players not selected so we could start to trade and work with the rosters.

Beerfest, I don't like Alfie on your 2nd line, but you're team might be the strongest, I likey
Of course, I'll go with the Panthers as #1, but you're a close 2nd

Well the draft is nearly over and I'll be updating rosters for the NHL12 sim tomorrow.
Please message me with specific line combinations if you wish, and I'll set each team up.
For the scratches I will give every team a Heat player for each position
