Ruzicka got his first point of the series last night vs Kitchener, a secondary assist in a 5-3 loss. Series tied at 2 with game 5 tonight in Kitchener.

Went to game 5 in Kitchener tonight, Rangers won 3-2 in OT to take a 3-2 series lead. Once again Ruzicka was a non factor. Took a holding penalty 25 seconds into the first period and had one scoring chance. Kitchener has taken that line right out of business.

I didn't watch, but it looks like Gawdin got another assist last night during swift currents 3-2 overtime loss. Gawdin has 7 goals, and 9 assists this play offs. Game seven of that series is on Monday.

Kitchener Rangers best the Sarnia Sting 6-2 in Sarnia tonight winning their series 4-2. That ends Adam Ruzicka's year.
Adams playoff line was:
Ruzicka, AdamSAR12G 0G 3A 3Pts

Ya that stat line is pretty rough to say the least, if he had a good playoffs the Flames may of signed him to an entry level deal. Doubt that happens this offseason.

Jankowski took 5 years to develop into what we got from him this year and he was a 1st rounder; Ruzicka still has a long road and is a 4th rounder so he’s a long shot at best already but to say his career is in jeporady because of a weak playoff showing is a little far at this time. If this was his draft +2 year maybe I could see that line of thinking but so far he seems to have taken the appropriate strides in his development.

I mean there's only 1 more year to sign him before he goes back into the draft. I don't think the Flames would sign him based on his playoffs this year. So yeah, a piss poor playoffs does have his career in jeopardy with the Flames because they may not sign him because of it. Obviously next year will play a big role as well. He did improve this year. But his playoff no-show is a big mark against him. Since being drafted he had a good regular season and a terrible playoffs where the hockey matters even more. Scouts put a lot of stock into whether players elevate their game during the playoffs or whether they disappear. I think the playoffs creates a lot of doubt about his NHL potential and thus makes the Flames signing him questionable. So yeah, I think its totally fair to say having as poor a playoffs as he did has his career with the Flames in jeopardy. Don't think I was being sensational at all.

Another thing with Ruzicka is that during the past WJC, the Slovak coach benched him multiple times during the big moments of games. To bench a returning player that was one of the only draft picks on your team tells a huge story. As well, from what we have seen, Ruzicka doesn't improve as the stage gets bigger. He seems to have hit a brick wall in terms of production during these playoffs and he didn't provide much of anything during the WJC's, arguably the most important games of his young hockey career. He will definitely need to work on consistency if he is to have a shot at earning an entry-level contract.

That's correct, and Gawdin doing his part to keep his season alive.
He has 2g 1a as his Broncos currently lead 4-0 in the 2nd period of game 7 against the Warriors.

2g,2a for Gawdin in their romping of SW tonight. 6-0 and Gawdin factored in on 4 of them.
I know the overager thing but his playoff stats are nuts right now. Lou called them unheard of this afternoon.

Someone needs to temper Lou's enthusiasm. Quite a bit. You want to see nuts? Take a look at over-ager Brad Morrison. 10GP - 12G, 17A, 29P. Or 19 year old Morgan Geekie (poor kid). 8GP - 15G, 9A, 24P. Or 19 year old Michael Rassmussen. 8GP - 10G, 14A, 24P. But Gawdin's 14GP - 9G, 11A, 20P is "unheard of?" I mean, he's just running away from team mates Steenbergen and Heponiemi, both with 18 points. Gadwin has scored one more point than Matthew Phillips, and with three extra games played. In perspective, not so unheard of.

Maybe he was excited after a 4 point game in a game seven but you know let's #### on his parade.

Don’t think it’s ####ting on his parade, more like trying to not go full Oiler and believing all our prospects are the greatest players in the universe. Good on Gawdin for having what seems to be a great development year but it’s never good to get ahead of yourself, especially with over-age players. I look forward to seeing what he can do in Stockton next year.

Maybe he should stop being such a fanboy and start being a real journalist. Frankly, if we caught some of the media up north pulling this same #### we’d be unmercifully making fun of them and their ridiculous statements. Maybe apply the same brush to our guys. Now THAT would be unheard oh.

Valimaki with 2 assists and a plus 3 as Tri-City beats Everett 5-3.
Gawdin gets 1 assist in a 4-3 win vs Lethbridge.
