The more you think about it, for playing and getting better next year, the CFL makes a ton of sense. It would be obviously only for a year, but he'd be paid more, be a star and price his worth.

Only issue is that if he does have an ego about these things (going to play in the CFL would be a demotion, so already there he would have taken a dose of humble pie)and expects to be the star of the team and league before taking a snap, and nevermind if Deion gets involved (there isn't quite the same control by owners of thingsboff the field as there is in the NFL), in the CFL off field things, it will give further creedence to why the NFL teams didn't want him this time, when he tries to go back next year.

Sounds like something someone smoking crack would try to do. Which, you know, might make him the next LT.

Berry and Stefanski better think about how they'll answer the "why did you pick Dillon Gabriel two rounds earlier than him?" questions.

Kenny Pickett
Joe Flacco
Dillon Gabriel
Shedeur Sanders
whatever is left of Deshaun Watson

what a QB room lol.

Now for Deion trying to force the Browns to release him cause the Browns are one of the "no-go" teams.

So assuming Cleveland doesn’t cut one of the vets at QB - where does a 4th and 5th stringer actually play when drafted ?

It's almost like the browns did it to keep the steelers from getting him on the cheap.

Of course being the browns they were dumb enough to draft another qb as well.

Cleveland gave up a roster QB and a fifth round pick to get Pickett, and then drafted two more QBs anyway. I've actually suggested before that a QB desperate team should be willing to acquire as many QBs as possible in the hopes one of them works out, but of course the Browns do it in one of the weakest QB years possible.

The hostage video vibes from this would suggest Haslam stepped in.

Let the best player win, if they're all bad then you're still in good shape next year to draft a QB.

I had no idea that Mr Irrelevant got a full week celebration in honor of his selection. Pretty great lol.

https://www.cnn.com/2025/04/26/sport...spt/index.html

Salata-Finch told CNN that planning for the week begins from backstage as soon as the draft is over.

Irrelevant Week takes place in Newport Beach, featuring a parade in honor of the draftee, a “roast and toast” dinner and a golf tournament. The festivities are tailored to each athlete, and they are encouraged to submit a wish list.

There are VIP trips to Disneyland and the Playboy Mansion, players have met celebrities like Will Farrell and Jimmy Kimmel and driven the cars of their dreams.

Kiper's bitterness on this whole Shedeur thing is incredible, gives the Browns the only A+ grade of the draft, despite them drafting two QBs, two RBs, and no OL or WR despite having massive holes at each. Wish the Browns drafted seven punters and FG kickers and Shedeur just so he could still give it an A+.

he seemed to take it personally too, in a "something like this has never happened to my draft board!" kind of way.

it's time to retire. He's basically the old man yelling at clouds meme at this point.

Yes it was certainly personal. However the mechanics of being an insider work, he definitely got misled by NFL execs, which is part of his bitterness.

Moreso, he very likely too he has some sort of relationship with Deion or perceived relationship with Deion from over the years while Deion was part of the NFL, part of NFL media, and again, who knows how all this jockeying for pre draft spotlight goes, but my guess is a lot of the top draft guys cuddle up to the draft influencer Kiper's of the world to get the best and most positive narrative, and Deion would be the master of that.

Obviously Kiper got friendly with the family and the hype, and put all his eggs in Deion and Shaduer's basket and now has omelette on his face personally and professionally.

Son of Falcons coordinator Ulbrich admits to Sanders prank

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...-sanders-prank

Quote:
The Falcons said in a statement Sunday that Jax Ulbrich copied it down off his father's open iPad while visiting his parents' home "to later conduct a prank call."

As Sanders continued to wait for his name to be called on Day 2 of the draft Friday, a video surfaced on social media of the former Colorado quarterback receiving a call from someone impersonating New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis.

The caller told Sanders: "We're going to take you with our next pick, man, but you're going to have to wait a little bit longer, man. Sorry about that.’
