I just said Vegas was similarly fortunate to be in the finals too, and they were. Their save percentage from Hill is still remarkable considering he's their 3rd or 4th string goalie.
And a 12.9% shooting percentage is crazy...the highest of any team in the playoffs for the last decade (12.3% is the next highest).

agree to disagree I guess
Vegas has been the better team in all four series IMO
Panthers have been outplayed in every series

They definitely weren’t outplayed in their series against the Leafs.
And you can’t really argue a team was outplayed in a series that they swept. They deserve to be there. But I think Vegas has broken them

Sorry
**Outplayed other than in goal**
the guys on the NHL network just said the same thing
They swept the Canes...but they only scored 10 goals in the entire series. Bob had statistically the best 8 games in NHL history. Regular season or playoffs.
Anyway it doesn't matter really. Vegas is obviously a way better team and they are going to win the cup because of it.
If only the Panthers put up as much a fight as some of you we might have a series

I don't think any team makes the finals without a little bit of good fortune.
Vegas is very fortunate Adin Hill has been as good as he's been.
They are also a bit fortunate that Skinner and Oettinger both had pretty terrible series with sub .880 save percentages against Vegas. (But you could argue they've played a role in making those goalies look bad to some extent too).
Much like Florida was fortunate that Bob stood on his head and that they won every single close game in the first three rounds.
Also thought both Vegas and Florida were pretty fortunate to be up 2-0 in the conference finals by winning 2 OT games and that really shifted momentum in each series.

Well yeah, the narrative has changed.
After going down 3-1 against Boston, the Panthers went 11-1 against the top three seeds in the east. Yes, Bob played a massive part in that, but you can’t discredit what they’ve done.
For the record, I hope the Panthers get swept. Tkachuk can beat it

I'm debating
"Vegas is just as lucky"
not discrediting everything they have done...the goalie is part of the team too
Florida was absolutely dominated in a game that would have had them out in 5 of round one. They won game 7 in OT after Boston missed an EN with the goalie pulled and then got a goal off a bounce.
Vegas hasn't even been close to being beaten
Not to mention the ridiculous horseshoes that put Florida in the playoffs to begin with

Or maybe it's just a slightly above average team carried by godly goaltending vs a legitimate contender also benefitting from extremly good goaltending.
The goaltending bubble bursts for one team, and this is the result.

Let me put it this way...if goaltending was equal Vegas would still win but the games would be closer
With Bob falling off a bit its an absolute blowout, 12-4 finals so far...pretty hard to argue
This seems like Habs/Lightning 2021 to me
like does anyone think the Panthers are winning 4 of 5 Vs. Vegas?
Its ova

What a turn of events if he wins the Conn Smythe
Its him, Eichel, Hill at this point
I bet on Eichel last round but IDK, its close
Hill might get it for the numbers, he is a UFA too...picked a hell of a time
Flames fan too, just sayin

Hopefully misses Huberdeau. Remember how the media played up the "last" pass Huberdeau feed Barkov in the first meeting during warm-ups...

Can't believe anyone here is cheering for Vegas. Until now every one was discusted with them and the gifting every gm gave them . Only band wagoners.

He’s always been dumb. He plays great, then he gets caught up in the pest garbage.

Exactly. Tkachuk has always had the tools. It’s his brain that gets in the way.

Tell that to pajama boy in Toronto
Panthers have plenty of Bandwagoners on here too...there are two teams, gotta cheer for somebody
Vegas beat the Oilers
Tkachuk bailed on the Flames
Pretty easy for me

Not really at all.
You don't have to cheer for either team.
Neither team are the Flames so I don't care. Didn't watch any play offs till this round. Didn't even schadenfreude watch the Oilers.
There both meh. Tkachuk didn't bail with only a year left . Flames mis managed him and JG
Calgary sucka and Vegas was gifted a team . The only way this timeline is worst is its Oliers vs Florida. Rivals vs Flames excelling cast offs. This is a close second. So #### both teams at lest it's entertaining???
The only winning formula is if both teams can lose the cup. This is the 3rd worst time time line as a Flames fan 2nd would be van vs toronto/ Canadians for the cup
Ps. Who the hell is pajama boy?

Well , yes and no...
The pest stuff I like the problem is North American media / NHl trying to get rid of the physical side of hockey to appeal to a broder audience. Immigrants/ some Americans and European viewers veiw hockey as barbaric. The nhl wants to set a soccer and Football standard to grow ratings. Jen enjoys what we saw tonight. The religious crowd ( no matter the religion) dosent want to see any thing rough that might corrupt the kids.
Prove me wrong

Who would have thought that a team using their 3rd string goalie for the playoffs and the being forced to go with their 4th string midway through the 2nd round is now two wins away from winning the Stanley Cup?
No matter how well you play, when your top two goalies are unavailable you're bound to lose some heartbreakers due to goaltending. It was starting to look like Brossoit was going to cost them before he got hurt too. Hill came in and hasn't looked out of place at all.

Not everyone. I've been a fan since it was announced they were getting a team. I bleed red but if the Flames aren't playing then I'm cheering for VGK.

I mean, I don't care as though the Flames could win or I want Vancouver to lose, but I still find myself supporting Las Vegas given this choice. I was also going for Boston, Leafs, and Hurricanes, too, to be honest.
Pajama boy was some guy Obama used in an advertising booklet a while ago. I'm not sure if he's from Toronto, though.
