probably true, but isn't that what the 'brains trust' here on the forum thought the optimal strategy 
England are an average team that achieved what they did by playing as a team in the way Germany, Argentina, Brazil etc. couldn't. Lack of pure skill was always going to catch up with them, I was just hoping that would have been in the final. Oh well was fun while it lasted.
