Hes not soft at all if you watch his actual play, he isnt a perimeter player, gets in the corners and behind the net on every shift

he is not a 'quality 2nd line winger', he is a 2nd line winger on a weak roster.

His per 82 games numbers are around 45-50 points with very minimal pp time since he came to vancouver

except he's never actually played 82 games in a season...

45 is a projection. His highest total with Van is 35 points - if he ever does 45, then you can make the argument he's a second line winger, until then he's not

He's getting easy minutes on a bad team.

Name one playoff team where you could make the case that they would look at their roster and say "Baertschi makes our top 6 better"

Also, his career high is 35 points, but he's a 45 point winger now?
