Seems like maybe his lack of having an elite or defining quality holds him back. Average size, average skating, okay at puck moving, not a big shot, not very physical.

Good luck Wotherspoon. Always liked him, but he just got passed by so many other prospects over the years unfortunately. Hope he can finally break into the league at some point still.

Wotherspoon didn't deserve enough ice time here, even though he played rather well in the AHL. I hope he can get some bottom pairing minutes with St. Louis if Bouwmeester starts to really decline.
