OT, but how unfortunate it must have been to grow up a boy named Lynn, especially with the last name Loyns. Sounds like a female porno name. I know it was at one point a masculine name, but that was a long time ago.
Reminds me of a guy I met before named Wendy. He was from Poland. His father was Wendel and they named him Wendy as a diminutive for Wendel, which is a common thing to do in Slavic countries instead of using "junior".
And I say this as a guy that has name very similar to a common feminine name in English that strangers often get wrong, so I know how brutal kids can be.
