Maybe a bit of load management helped him. I still think he’s bad at moving the puck out of the zone, but IMO he was better.
He needs to make sure he picks and chooses his bombs. Great when he gets it off, but he gets blocked or misses (because he has to shoot around a forward) a lot.

True, but this is a problem for all players in today's league with shot blocking being demanded by the coaches. Or do the Shea Weber, keep blasting and let the guy blocking it worry about getting hurt

I think that is a valid strategy when the other team is getting in front of everything. Blocking shots is painful and if you force them to block big shots, eventually it will wear on their will to continue doing it.
You could see as game 7 in the last series was closing, the Dallas players were much more apprehensive about standing in the way of shots.

Well yeah...I'm not a Pro Athlete but if you asked me to stand in the lane where Stone's shots are coming in...I will, in no uncertain terms, tell you where to shove it.
Because Stone is going to put everything into it. Every. Single. Time.
I like it.

Stone should work a fake and a slap pass into the repertoire.

Mike Stone is Hockey's 'Max Power.'
He does what he does and he's going to do what he does. And he has a name you want to touch....but mustn't touch.

He's delivered when asked to....and in a big way with a remarkable attitude. Having him waiting around, working out , wondering .....cant ask for more. I'm sure glad he's still here.
