Sad news about Joel Otto stepping down as Hitmen assistant coach because a hip injury won't allow him to continue providing on-ice instruction though.

He'll be a good development coach I think. He has experience playing up and down line-ups. He know what it takes to break into the NHL and how to contribute in pretty much all forward roles. I hope this is the beginning of a long and rewarding career for him.

That is sad. Played with/been around Otto a lot thru alumni events. Always a class act. And fun to play with he can put the puck where ever he wants.
