Hurricanes go outside their team structure and throw some big $$ at Jordan Staal

We really wanted his leadership and I'm hoping by surrounding Barzal and the other young players with some experience will be enough to lift the Canes to the playoffs rather than drafting top 5

I was planning to bid on Staal. Realized it won’t be enough and I wanted to take a shot at Raanta too. Ended up putting a similar bid on Bailey instead.

Really happy to get Barrie at what I think is a reasonable price. As long as he keeps getting pp time with McDavid, I think he keeps producing.

Low balled an offer on Jordan Staal and wasn't even close.

Happy to grab two solid defencemen at nice prices, especially future Norris Trophy winner Justin Holl.

Now I just need $640,000 in cheese to complete my roster, barring any further trades. Anyone good for hooking me up with that for 1.30M next year?
