This show is really amazing. However, I wish the producers didn't use those wide shots of Calgary's skyline, etc. in the show though. It would add more to the anonymity of the locations.
In Tuesday's episode, they are driving through Duluth which is a pretty small town and yet Duluth apparently features the Bow and the rest of Calgary's skyscrapers.

It's a fair point, although I am pretty sure 95% of the people outside of Duluth and Calgary wouldn't be able to tell the difference. It's a bit unique here because we have the advantage of knowing Calgary's sites. I think it's cool personally to see some familiar landmarks.

That was one of the stupidest hours of television I have ever watched. Don't even know where to begin....
Virtually every scene was far fetched, illogical, and/or a rip-off of something from a much better movie.

Have to agree. Bad acting, bad writing, bad cgi. I don't even think I'll bother with the final two episodes. Maybe I'm a little bit tainted from the awesomeness of True Detective, but that episode ruined the whole series.
For comparison

Its not supposed to be True Detective. It's supposed to be a Coen Brothers style narrative which says things are true but are obviously untrue. It's supposed to be quirky and surreal. It's by design and is the appeal behind Coen Brothers' style that this is emulating. This is confirmed by the writer.
I normally hate television because I cannot suspend my disbelief. Surreal stories like these (reminds me of old Alfred Hitchcock presents or the Twighlight zone) allow me to do so since they aren't trying too hard to be real. In that context, the Calgariness is part of the surrelism for me.
If you don't like that, then maybe this is not for you. I quit quarter way through Breaking Bad and True Detective. They turn me off for their own reasons. I can't stop watching Fargo however.
I want Lester to become the new Malvo.

I LOVE this show, and for those of you that don't like it are you fans of the Cohen brothers style? Because this is exactly in line with their style and I can't be more happy with this series so far.

I would agreed about the comments regarding the CGI. They really could have figured out a different/better way of creating a white out.

As far as I can tell, the fish came from the movie Magnolia and lazy writing. A blizzard in winter in North Dakota won't have the type of updraft that would suck up a lake (and its fish), and even if it did, the show has established repeatedly that the lakes in the area are completely frozen over.

Then maybe that isn't the answer.

Confirmed as your standard mid-winter North Dakota tornados that sucked a bunch of fish out of completely frozen lakes.
And now Molvo is Rambo.

With the BMO Centre reflected in the windows while Key & Peele made a funny but odd cameo on 11th Avenue.
Now this time Fargo, North Dakota features the Bow, CH2MHILL buildings, and Suncor tower in the distance.

They've been building Malvo up to be a more sociable sociopathic badass akin to Anton Chigurgh. That scene was actually pretty cool.
I didn't expect them to explain that many fish with the weather theory. I thought they would go with an air transport malfunction or something. They did mention on the news report that they were unsure the body of water they came from and that they may have traveled quite a distance.
Still really love the show. Lester is showing an extreme case of Heisenbergism.

I'm kind of late to the part on this show but is it as good as FX makes it out to be in their ads?

It has a unique style. Those looking for gritty realism won't find it here. It's a bit of a "tall tale" and at the same time quirky, humorous, light hearted, violent, and dark. It's over in 3 more episodes.

In my opinion, if you liked the movie you'll like the show.

I can see why people like to binge watch shows after they are over with. Some of these endings are unsatisfying - I wish I could jump to the next episode immediately.

I normally don't watch TV because you end up "waiting for a week" for like 3-5 years which is the equivalent to slow torture.
But Fargo is only 10 episodes long so the weekly anticipation and excitement outweigh the waiting and frustration.
This week's episode had a huge plot acceleration that was done well. I also didn't expect Key and Peele to be back. I guess they are in it until the end.
LOL @ Lester getting his award at Hotel Arts (supposedly Las Vegas). I'm not sure where the Casino part was filmed there since I don't go to any. That's the other aspect of the show that keeps driving me back. Spotting Calgary locations is fun. The regional FBI headquarters was the brutalist concrete CBE building in downtown. That fit well considering what the real FBI building looks like in D.C.
