This is exactly what we needed. Im extremely pleased!!

This is great news. The Flames really needed to add more skill and especially goal scoring. Peters has a ton of options to work with and I think it's fair to have high expectations for this group.

A little high, a little long. What you would expect from a higher profile UFA signing.
No word on NMC/NTC?
May even return assets if things do not work out in a couple years.

Holy sheeeeeep
I was hoping for it but doubted it would happen. Loving the changes this summer.
Has to be another trade or two to come. Just too many guys in the works. Maybe a backup goalie for some of our bottom 6 options?

Neal is exactly what gaudreau-monahan has been missing imo. A natural fit on the top line. Really looking forward to this season

If this is true, it has been one hell of an offseason for treliving. The forward group would be massively upgraded, and the defence has lost some offence, but perhaps is better balanced and better defensively. That’s before we get to the coaching staff - which I’m still not 100% sure was the right hire, but am so glad gulutzan is gone and am hopeful it works out.
If there is one area of concern I have it’s goaltending. I hope smith can repeat his first half of last year and we have someone to take 25-30 games off his shoulders.
All in all, I am actually excited about next season after basically not paying attention the last half of last season.

Neal is a HUGE upgrade on Ferland. Neal has the ability to take over, he could play on the top line or he could play lower and make others around him better.
I'm loving this.

James Neal and Mike Smith are buddies. Smith had been working hard on The Real Deal to come to Calgary.

Doubtful we ever see Bennett at C for any length of time...he is not good enough to be there.

He’s not fast, will have by far the best shot on the team and uses his body well. Plays great when complimenting 2 other good players. It’s a perfect fit for the top line.
