I fully expected an injury excuse after playing so poorly. I hate to crap on the guy as he's the greatest Canadian player in history but he's the tin man of tennis. No heart.

I think that's a little harsh EE, I mean we don't yet know the extent of this latest injury for Milos. It has to be extremely frustrating for him and I think even if he were able to emerge victorious over Isner, he likely would have been in bad shape against Anderson in the semi-finals.

Kerber awaits the winner of Serena and Julia Goerges in the women's final on Saturday.

Well he did call for a trainer early in the match so there is undoubtedly an injury that hampered him once again. I personally do not think it was bad enough that it affected the outcome of the match though.....he's got heart but ultimately lacks the emotion needed to will himself through circumstances like we saw yesterday.

I always thought we'd see him lifting a Wimbledon trophy at some point, but if not this year where the stars literally aligned in the best possible way for his draw, I have a hard time believing it will happen.

It will be a Serena vs. Kerber final and I think Kerber has a chance to beat Serena.

Haven’t seen it mentioned on here but has anyone else watched “Being Serena”? I find myself liking Serena more and more. She really has become a more well rounded human.

Yeah, I haven't been a Serena fan. She didn't fit the stereotypical tennis player mold in terms of her attitude and demeanor. I'm softening on that stance though.

I'm actually indifferent as to who wins the Women's side this year. Could be Kerber, could be Serena. I don't care. I'll probably cheer for Kerber because I do like her, but it's not like a few years ago where I'd automatically cheer for whomever was playing Serena.

Good news for Felix and I hope he's recovered from a leg injury that forced him to retire from the ATP Challenger event earlier this week.

I've been feeling the same way. Never been a fan and would at times cheer for players to upset her but I find myself rooting for her in this tournament. She's always been a great player but she's matured a lot.

So since this is obviously a very legitimate possibility, but what happens if we go 30-28 fifth set between these two bots? You're probably looking at 8-8:30 PM local before Novak-Rafa would start, and that means it very likely won't beat curfew. Do you move Novak-Rafa to Court 1? Because I wouldn't like it if they started a match they know they can't finish. Would prefer they push it back to tomorrow. And it's not like fatigue will matter, they have a bye Sunday.

One tie-breaker to Anderson, one tie-breaker to Isner.

I'm really hoping the crowd just walks out in the middle of the match, like just leave the place barren. They really should have had them played where they do qualifying, would have been better for the audience (note: there are few to no stands at that venue).

Feels like this is a consolation final as whoever emerges victorious out of the Nadal/Djokovic match will likely have easy pickings with either one of these guys.

Well of course the real final is next, that's why they put it second. I actually think there wouldn't be more than 100 fans left for Isner-Anderson if it was second. As it were, saw a few tweets that a bunch of fans left after the second set, probably going to get drunk for the inevitable 60-58 fifth set.

Shriver claiming Serena beating a vanilla field (including only 1 seeded player) at Wimbledon qualifies as one of the greatest comebacks in sports history. Now this is a reach if I've ever heard it

It's funny that they don't see this Serena victory as actually harming her legacy. Just proves she's playing in the weakest era in the history of women's tennis. I honestly think playing till 45 and winning another 10 majors is 100% in play.

Rats, Gaby Dabrowski and Xu Yifan lost their women's doubles semi-final match (they were up a break at 4-2 in the 3rd set as well).
