Interesting article on the Vikings potential playoff run and the Suberbowl
Quote:
“We’re watching it closely, no question about it, and we have been for a while,” Peter O’Reilly, the league’s senior vice president of events, told me last month as he prepares for his fourth Super Bowl in this role. “The good thing is there is a really detailed contingency plan in place that hasn’t had to be rolled out before, but is in place. We’ve been talking with the Vikings and the host committee throughout the back-half of this regular season on a regular basis on all the different scenarios. It adds another factor for sure, but we feel good about the planning in place.”
Not just to deal with the potential home field advantage but also the logistics of needing to prep the stadium and area for game day.
Funny enough Minnesota hotels etc could be hoping the Vikes lose. Could cost them some business if the home team makes it.
I actually can't believe everyone hasn't already heard this. Legendary
Haha Saints fans know that clip well too. Didn't even click the link but I already know what it is.. "this isn't Detroit man, this is the Super Bowl!"
I didn't realize the Saints were still so hated by Vikings fans (have kinda learned that on the Saints boards this week), can't even imagine how sour they'll be if we eliminate them again, in their best shot at a Super Bowl since we beat them the last time. This is the one team I was worried about the Saints meeting in the playoffs, especially in their own barn. I just don't think we match up overly well with them, especially with how injury ravaged our D is. I would kill to have Okafor opposite Cam on the line again. Leaning towards Vikes too, but admittedly their rip your heart out playoff history is a reason why I can see the Saints winning. That and New Orleans is so balanced, they can beat you so many ways.
Falcons
Pats
Steelers
Vikings
If the Saints win, I will pick them the rest of the playoffs, Vikes are the one team remaining I'm not overly confident against. Should be a close game regardless, can't wait!
Part of me is saying just please don't get embarrassed tomorrow. The other part is saying "What if". As a Canucks fan and Titans fan I obviously haven't had much to cheer for, but if the Titans can pull off the huge upset I would be more jacked up then I was when Burrows scored against the Hawks in 2011 or Bieksa against the Sharks.
I don't wanna guarantee the Pats and Steelers win, but I just cannot see the NFL allowing a potential huge ratings game to fall apart by having either the Jags and Titans, which would result in horrific ratings. That said the depraved part of me wants a Jags-Titans AFC title game, just to see how historically awful the ratings would be. You know Trump is rooting for it so he can pop off about ratings.

Tonight were going to party like it's 1999! Titans will get closer to Brady today than Giselle ever has been. He's going to have nightmares of Orakpo and Casey. Titans are playing with house money, ask anyone no one expects this team to win, they need a miracle. Good thing this franchise was founded on one
If the NFL has concerns about ratings maybe they should take a look at the ridiculous amount of commercials. Long commercial break, come back for 1 punt, another commercial break. Brutal.
