It's tough and maybe a little unfair to judge a morning show if your primary interest is hockey and the Flames and it's the offseason. Though I guess Boomer and Pinder were gold (to me) during the offseason, so now I'm contradicting myself. Also, since moving to Toronto, the morning show with Justin and Ailish is like WAY better than what 960 has to offer and actually very good lol so I think I've talked myself into how it doesn't matter if it's offseason or not, good programming and good hosts will give you a good show.
I download all of Steinberg's shows and listen to them later in the day or the next day. He's an all star and eventually will get poached.

I listen to Flames Talk podcasts on evening dog walks and enjoy the perspectives. I'd never tune in live so I also appreciate the format. Did Hockey Central 960 get cancelled?

We might have the most anemic hockey coverage of any Canadian NHL city.

Fan 960, and all Canadian radio stations, no longer work via web player anywhere in the US without a VPN. It's been rather annoying.

Rogers can only afford to run local content for 5 hours a day, apparently

Open the App, click the "..." with "more" underneath it in the bottom right corner
There's then a Listen -> Live Radio spot to pick.

Man, did Flames Talk ever tip toe around the Francis' Sportsnet article yesterday. I think they mentioned it maybe once? Then came up with hypothetical trades "if" the Flames were to go down that particular road. It was interesting to say the least.
