They lost Price for a season to injury and were an 80 point lotto team.

Before and after that season with Price they were a 100+ point division winner.

What's going on in Toronto? Nylander got 8 mins of ice time last night, Marner got 12.

Curious if folks in Toronto will get frustrated in their budding stars getting fed bottom line mins. I suppose they are winning but isn't the state of the franchise and rebuild built on the backs of these young guys?

Resting them for the playoffs? It makes no sense to me. Matthews has not looked himself since playing with Brown.

Maybe they want to see how they are away from good players. Put Nylander with scrubs on the 4th line. Put Matthews with non-1st line players. Put Marner with two lazy vets.

Most Leaf fans are not happy with Babcock's lineup choices.

At first I thought it was some tough love, pushing the kids to be better 2 way players. But it's been several games now. Every time I catch a leaf game (plenty since I live out here) nylander is always making incredible plays.

Marner has struggled a bit, even going back to the latter stages of last year. You'd think trying him with top 6 players may be the trick to get him back to the high level of play he showed at the beginning of last year

Weird, it's as if every single NHL coach, even the consensus best ones, have blind spots that drive fans crazy.

But don't worry Flames fans, I'm sure there's a coach out there that will set the lines, ice times and special teams exactly how the forum wants them, every game.
