Knights at Leafs - so conflicted. So here's the deal. Leafs win, I'm OK. Knights win, I want Leafs to be pummeled.

Barkov just scored to start the 2nd period, putting the Panthers up 3-1 over the red hot Capitals.
Good to see boys. Now just don't fall apart late in the game like you usually do.

Canucks looking very pedestrian. Outshot 11-3 in Chicago and down 1-0.
Vancouver is no good. No good at all.

I thought Bobrovsky was supposed to shore up the GA a little. Is he not playing well or is it more indicative of a team problem?

100% a team problem. The attention to detail and focus on team defense just isn't there, and I don't know that it ever will be with this personnel. Just not enough guys care about their own end. Can't wait to get on offense.

Erik Karlsson's contract might be the worst one ever signed.

I was listening to their radio broadcast on the drive home tonight, and they were really fluffing his game. "Karlsson has made 5 or 6 incredible plays", "Karsslon's elite edge work made that possible". Sure thing Jamie Baker

Most Eastern Conference free agents, of many skill levels, have had their tires pumped by the all knowing Eastern media for the year and a half before becoming UFA, often judged against Leaf and Habs defenceman or forwards, as the benchmark, for years now.
Scott Hannan was a supposedly coveted sure fire defenceman going UFA one year from the Bruins, and the Sharks coughed up far too much term and money for a guy that barely could stay in the top paring.
Agents out east just have to wine and dine a couple reporters and a guy like Dreger, and let the snowball regarding his clients ability turn into an avalanche in few months with all the daily Nhl chatter and his name being repeated and on the pending UFA list, with media and fans and team convincing themselves that the grass will be greener with a Scott Hannan.

The Avalanche set a team record by scoring six goals in the second period. Colorado was down 3-2 and then said by
many sportscasters, the Predators were crushed by a massive avalanche of goals. They scored the six goals in exactly eight minutes of play on their way to a 9-4 victory. Donskoi with the hat trick.
