Pittbsburgh: things to do?
I'll be in Pittsburgh from the 8th to the 13th (September), and it looks like im SOL for the Pirates/Pens/Steelers. So looking for suggestions on things to do downtown. Anything. Museums, restaurants, etc.

If you can rent a car, it's only a two hour drive to Canton, OH and the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

PNC Park is one of the best ball parks in MLB so thats too bad.
When I was there it seemed as though they rolled up the sidewalks downtown at 6 pm. I am sure there are lively areas but we never found them.

There are plenty of museums and the architecture is amazing. I spent three days just walking around.

I was just there last month. Fantastic city. Go check out the sports stadiums, even from just the outside. The area around the ball park and football stadium is really nice.

The Strip District is a great place to spend an evening. Lots of bars, clubs, restaurants . . . Primanti Brothers is a must. Incredible sandwiches. If you're younger, Oakland (the University district) is fun. The zoo is cool, so is Point State Park - where the 3 rivers meet, across from the stadiums. The upper incline is a neat way to see the city, too. Kennywood is a decent amusement park, lots of roller coasters - (way better than Calloway). It's a very underrated City. Have fun.

Had a blast doing the Segway tour.
Rode up the Duquesne Incline.
Walked across the Roberto Clemente bridge on the way to PNC Park.
Ate a Primanti Bros sandwich.
Such a cool little city. Sports there are everything.
You'll never forget driving out of the tunnel into downtown. Amazing.

Yeah that's certainly something you don't see often. I wasn't even aware that it was like that so it was kind of a WTF moment for me first time.

Came to post just to say this. I've been to Pittsburgh 4 years in a row for a hockey tourney. This is one of the things Im most excited about. If you like beer, I've really enjoyed Penn Brewery. Great beer.... and perogies (And view of the city).
I would also suggest checking out the Andy Warhol Museum. It's pretty cool and always changing.
Edit... also go to Burgatory at least once. Build your own burgers with so many options. The Smores Shake is good too.
