The podcasts are really good. Highly recommend listening.

I will suggest for anyone who is thinking of playing the 2nd game, to resist the urge. I was weird and played the second game (huge PlayStation sale any months ago) without playing the first. While I knew the basics of the first season, I didn’t know the details which made the story better. I think now that you know the characters playing the game ahead of the second season will wreck it. I think there are many twists and turns in the second game which would be best left to learn in real time with the series. I suppose it depends if you like to read a book before watching the movie or the reverse. I think the game is a bit more book like as it is deeper and playing it after would fill in some of the gaps.

I played TLOU the first time when I was single, and I hated Joel at the end and the damage he did against a possible cure. When you get to the end of the fight and have to shoot the doctor I sat there for awhile waiting, seeing if there was any other option. The 2nd time I played was when it was remastered (the first remaster anyway) and by then I was a father. That time I had zero hesitation in blasting the doctor in the face, and I had no conflicting emotions going on while watching the final cutscenes

The scene itself was a combination of a VFX stage, scenery and location shoot with real giraffes from the Calagary Zoo being used.

Or just wait until games are heavily discounted.

After playing the PS+ trial where I got all the way up to when you first encounter the clickers I want to play the newest remaster but no way am I paying $100(GST + PST in MB) for it.

OMFG, TLOU is fuuuuuuun. I'm still terrible at it but I may be addicted. I'm going to need my own system now.

Welcome to gaming! Enjoy.

Tell us about what you think about the game and show differences when you are done if you like!

Factoring in inflation games have actually become less expensive over the years despite steeply rising development costs.

Mario 64 was released for $60 USD in 1996 which would be worth roughly $115 USD today.

Lots of PlayStation games would release between $40 and $50 USD, but even a $40 game is equivalent to about $76 USD or $104 CAD today.

Pretty crazy when considering how much bigger and more advanced games are today.

I'm not gonna say the $90 was 'worth' it, but I got in about 1.5 hours last night (after Amazon delivered after 9PM ).

The game and the cinematic were always amazing, but the rebuilt version for PS5 is next level. It's like this game was invented too early and should have been made for the PS5.

Can't wait to get home from work, put the kids to bed super early and couch potato a good few chapters tonight!

Texas Joel is so badass.

I'm not going to say I hated the finale, but as someone who played the games I felt the games did the finale much better justice than the show. I guess that's to be expected, it was written to be a game after all, but I think that's why I personally felt underwhelmed by the finale.

Overall I enjoyed the series. Solid 8/10 for me.

Yeah I can't wait. I like that the remasters are actually fully utilizing new tech and not just slapping on sharper textures and calling it a day. PC version is actually going to fully support things like DLSS, can't wait

I’d love to replay Part 1 but $90 just seems completely insane.
