Lol Jets dump salary by giving up a good depth forward and picks to re-sign Stastny... He heads to the Knights.

Winnipeg learned late last night Statsny was likely headed in a different direction. Jets went beyond their cap comfort trying to keep him.

This is hilarious.

Winnipeg clears cap space and trades a solid young player to make room, then Stastny spurns them by signing with the team that rolled them in the WCF.

I love it.

Perron is returning to StL.

Unfortunately for the Jets they still play half their games in Winnipeg. People don’t go to Winnipeg until they are fresh out of options to go anywhere else.

Winnipeg is the Edmonton of the NHL.

Ok. Now that I've stopped laughing at the Jets, it occurs to me that Vegas just got a solid 1B center and that's not good. I was expecting Stastny to cash in on a 5 or 6 year term and he goes to Vegas on only a 3 year deal.

That really sucks guys. They probably matched the money the Jets threw at him with a shorter term than the Jets, which is exactly what they did with Reaves and have now scooped two Canadian teams on players they coveted in the last 24-48 hours.
