Big loss with Seager. Hopefully they get Turner back soon and whoever replaces Seager can step up. Bad luck to start the season.

The Braves have called up Calgary kid Mike Soroka to start tonight's game against the Mets.
I think he is gonna to be really good for a very long time. His stuff reminds of another Braves legend Greg Maddux.
The Braves now also have the three youngest players in the majors.

Going to be tough. He's going up against Thor and the Mets bats are on fire.

My sister went to high school with the kid! will be cool to see him making his debut. Mets batting is super streaky.. which could work in his favour

James Paxton strikes out 16 (season high) through 7 shutout innings and gets a no decision because the bullpen blows it in the 8th right after he is pulled. Sounds like a normal day if your a Seattle fan?

The Mets have requested that Matt Harvey agree to a minor league assignment. He refused to accept, and will be DFA'd.
Man feels like yesterday Harvey was the ace of that team... time sure flies by.

What a night around the majors. Albert Pujols got his 3,000th hit of his career becoming the 32nd player in MLB history to reach the 3,000 hit milestone.
Fourth player in MLB history with 3000+ hits and 600+ home runs. He joinis Hank Aaron, Willie Mays and Alex Rodriguez.
Walker Buehler, Dodgers' bullpen combine to no-hit Padres in Mexico. First no-hitter thrown outside the USA/Canada
Gerrit Cole completes one-hit shutout, his first in career, with 16 strikeouts.

I swear Scherzer is not human. He is the first pitcher ever to strike out at least 15 batters while recording 19 outs or less.

NIGHT TO FORGET: @Orioles pitcher Dylan Bundy gives up four home runs, two walks, and seven runs vs. @Royals without recording an out before getting pulled: http://bit.ly/2jJkehW

The weird thing is that Bruce was at-bat and then Gonzales started the next inning. So there were 4 outs recorded in the 1st. Flores & Cabrera batted out of order, not Bruce.

I read more about that and it was bizarre. Cabrera should have been second and Flores should have been third, so they both batted out of order technically. Apparently the scoring went:
1) Nimmo strikes out - recorded normally
2) Flores (who is batting out of turn right now) strikes out - recorded as a K
3) Cabrera (now also batting out of turn) doubles - recorded as a good double - he gets to keep his 1 for 1 start
Then the manager of the other team called out the wrong batting order so:
4) Bruce is out unassisted by the catcher
So ever though the 2 and 3 batters messed up, their at bats are normal and recorded based on their results, but Bruce gets to start 0 for 1 due to the mess up.
Baseball sure is funny sometimes.

actually Cabrera got 0 for 0. The double didn't count. It's like he never existed.

Here’s hoping this Jose Bautista experiment is almost over. Big deal the chump hit a HR tonight whens he been an automatic out. His costly error cost a rookie pitcher 4 runs the inning before.
You have to see what you have with these young kids Johan Camargo should be the everyday 3rd baseman until Austin Riley gets called up this summer, once Dansby Swanson returns from the DL
