There's certainly a difference between the two, but i disagree in saying that Tkachuk wouldn't do something like that. I think he totally would and I wouldn't have a problem with that just like I didn't have a problem with what Bieksa did.
Gonna have to agree to disagree. It was a dirtbag move from a dirtbag person. Im sure Stajan gave him the gears, and rightfully so. It would be like purposely keeping a guys first goal puck. Totally different than taking Burns' stick. If Tkatchuk did what Bieksa tried to do, I would totally have a problem with it.

What a thrill that one was. Flames played a very methodical game, demonstrating some team maturity we don't often see. They weren't dominant, but they were consistently engaged across all situations.
Bartkowski very underrated. He's been very good each game.
Whole blueline was excellent tonight. Giordano's best game so far. Brodie really feeling it.
Bennett is a perplexing player.
Glass has been very serviceable. Excellent 4th liner.
Nice having that Gaudreau-Versteeg swap option - it has kickstarted the offense each of the last two games.
Backlund line was the best throughout the night so it was fitting that he scored the second one. Tkachuk one of the best players on the wall in the league.
Smith was very very good, but thought Gibson was the reason this wasn't a more decisive win for the Flames.
This team seems legit thus far. They have some swagger and are organized.
Stone has a strong effect on everyone he plays with.

That was a complete team effort. All 4 lines were good. All D pairings held their own. Smith made the saves he should make and a couple he shouldn't. But for the most part there were no second chances for the Ducks. Effort, speed, skill, hitting, they were all there. It could have been 4 or 5 nothing.
I just want to post a comment to say I was here the day the Flames broke the Honda centre curse. I would like to think it was because I sold my Civic last month, but it was probably Mike Smith. Thank you.

Biggest difference, there weren't any fire drills around the net until the dying seconds of the game. The Smith and the defense aren't allowing the greasy goals they used to give up against teams like Anaheim.
