It's over the last 3 years. The Flames were solid PO teams in two of those seasons. First place in one.

Sad to see his tenure as a Flame come to an end. He was passionate about being a Flame, and had showed some signs that he might become an everyday starting goalie in this league, but didn't show that he could sustain that level over a whole season.

All the best to Dave in the future, except when playing against the Flames.

I wonder if he starts for Leafs tomorrow? I'd probably start him and would probably be happy even if he got the win. I bet Leafs fans will embrace him quickly. Gonna have to cheer for Leafs out of the North with Brods and Ritter plying their trade there for the playoffs.

He was a great find by the scouting department. He made up for the stalled developments of Macdonald , gillies and potentially parsons.

I don’t know why this team can’t appease the barons of voodoo goaltending.

But BSD had many inspiring and exciting plays he was apart of. He had good energy and seemed like a stand up guy. Having markstrom come in must have been defeating but he remained a good soldier. He’s gonna have a good opportunity with those glass goalies in Toronto. I thought we could have got more value for him but I guess he wasn’t viewed with much potential after losing his job to marky.

I have nothing but thanks for his solid play and entertaining antic. The sport is a better game with guys like him involved.

Will miss Rittich for sure. I hope he can find a permanent fit somewhere, but unless you're a stud, goaltenders have frequent flyer miles.

It a shame, he's almost the perfect backup. Heart of gold, hilarious persona, and the dude can play. It'd be nice to have him another few years I say.

It's only okay if Rittich plays most of the playoff games and either he or Brodie wins the Conn Smythe. Even then...I'd rather not.
