yeah, I would have thought that he would slot in between 4 and 7, or something like that - and maybe he still will. We'll see I guess.

edit: he isn't 2nd, he's 4th currently

Why not Wolf at #2. Whats the surprise? He's probably the best statistical prospect the Flames have. I dont think it's an oversell at all to have him the 2nd best prospect. Should definitely be one of the top 3 or 5 prospects in the organization.

Am I missing something? The list I see has both Zary and Pelletier ahead of Wolf.

Pettersen only just turned 20 on 3 April, and Pelletier turned 19 on 7 March.

For an accurate comparison between the two last year counted as Pettersen's 19-year-old season—not his 20-year-old season—where Pelletier's was his 18-year-old season as you correctly indicated. Also, Pettersen's 19-year-old NHLe is actually 35—precisely the same number as Pelletier's 19-year-old NHLe as recorded through only six games.

Runaway. Round 2 will be much more exciting. I have Pelletier.

For the first time in a lot of years, I think that there is going to be real dissension in the order. That's a very good thing.

Byron Bader really liked the Flames' 2020 draft class. He currently has the Flames' prospect system as the 6th best in the league.

I went with Zary and I have been thinking about this since the draft on where he slots in. By my weighting, I think he tops the list and I am a big fan of Valimaki and Wolf.

He is an undersized goalie. Many goalies have looked fantastic in junior and then fall off a cliff. Wolf is not even in the top 5 imo.

Would not be surprised if Valimaki looks like the Flames best defenseman at the end of the season. Just no injuries please.

I was more counting seasons ago, not age (though I mentioned age). So I was comparing the last full season of each.

I think I generally trust junior numbers more more than US college anyway.

Juuso Valimaki
Absolutely dominant two-way defenceman with size and skating. What's not the like? The sky is the limit for Valimaki - with injuries the only concern but hopefully those are a thing of the past. Wonderful future ahead for the (hopefully) long-time member of the Flames. Special player.

Ceiling: #1 defenceman
Probable: #1 defenceman
Floor: #3 defenceman

Also in consideration:
Nobody - Valimaki is on a tier.
