The Flames will probably be part of a Western Canadian AHL division this year which makes complete sense . So Lerby is in early?

Kinnvall is currently playing in sweden (HV71 in SHL) and has 4 points in 4 games (3g+1a).

No offense to Lerby at all but I would be more excited if Kinnvall was here too. He is a righty.

Looks like he's only played in 4 games whereas the team seems to have played 9. Anyone know if he's injured or if it is possible that he might be in Calgary? I guess he has another year on that contract with Jonkoping....

He was injured to start the season.

He is expected to come over for the 21-22 season.

Posted it in another thread, but Kinnvall last year was 8th in scoring in the Swedish League-second among defensemen with 40pts in 51g. He could be a much bigger aquisition than we think.

He is 23 years old today. I assume he will be close to 24-26 by the time he tries to make this team. Not sure I see the upside in this signing. He is probably a 5-6 at best when he comes over. Dont mind it as it is a free asset. Interesting comments about them thinking he can be a top sought after prospect next year if they didn't sign him

I was 5% Swedish too on Ancestry. Then they updated the results and now I'm 4% Norwegian instead!
