I think Frolik finally made his case last night. I missed the third period but from what I saw he was excellent and definitely deserves more ice time if he is going to play like that.

While I agree Bennett could use a shooting coach for a quicker release (and would it kill him to be more accurate?), I think Bennett’s problem is unsolveable and that is he doesn’t think the game properly/ fast enough. He makes poor decisions frequently. But he is a guy you root for and hope will improve somehow.

But definitely the shot can get better and would help him a lot.

Frolik has 8 points in the last 7 games since agent gate.

Definitely nailed home the point last game, but that’s the point that is established over a block of almost 10 percent of the season!

15 and 16 minutes of TOI in his last two games. First times over 15 minutes since the start of October.

It seems this might turn out fine.

I am not sure if it was leading up to it anyways, but that famous Vegas giveaway last year was not just a turning point for the Flames last season, but also for Froliks reputation on that line. No one can question his commitment to fitness and being the best he can be, but I think there were some mental blocks either from that incident or a general comfort on the 3rd line. Since the benching and agent gate, a fire seems to have reignite in Frolik that I have not seen since maybe GG season 1. He goes into the corner expecting to win the puck and get it to his linemates. Prior it seems like he would go in for battle hesitantly almost expecting that he would need to backcheck.

It's hard to explain the exact causes and differences, but it is great to see this player reignited. When playing like he is, he can be extremely valuable...especially in the tight games.

I think Bennett goes in with so much speed that he is suddenly too deep and has no options but to shoot at the goalie's middle. He doesn't think as fast as his feet.

There's no sound. You couldn't hear the players, it was just Cassie talking.

Was it mentioned why Derek Ryan only played 4:51?

He's on the 4th line and Peters went down to three lines to get the team going.
