Where can I buy this in Calgary?
Couldn't find a thread to bump, so here I am creating a generic 'where can I buy my item in Calgary' thread.
I'm looking for a store in Calgary where I can buy a decent computer desk. Something a step above Ikea, with a nice durable top. I'm afraid to buy it online at places like at wayfair.ca as I really cant tell the quality of the desks. Any stores that I can browse in that has a variety of computer desks? Or is online still the best option? How do I know the quality of the desk I'm buying?

For a computer desk that is good quality, go to COI (Contemporary Office Interiors). I've used them for commercial purposes, but they have nice stuff that could be residential as well. Their showroom is in Ogden. Definitely a step above Ikea, the Brick, etc.

People always over look the obvious. Staples has some pretty decent stuff. I bought a desk 15 years ago and still going strong. It is particle board but it's a corner desk so it's strong af.

I've used Source Office Furniture and RGO Office Products and I like both companies. Source is cheaper but I've been happy with the stuff I've picked up there over the years. RGO is more upscale, and I bought a higher end chair for my home office there a couple years ago and I still like the chair now.

Not everyone's cup of tea, but if you don't mind used, you can find good quality furniture at a fraction of the cost on kijiji or some of the used office furniture places around town - you just need to do your research beforehand. A while back I managed to snag 3 Steelcase Leap V2 chairs, and 1 Haworth Zody chair for $130 total. Still makes me smile to this day.

Used is a good option. You can get quality at half the price.
Costco also sells desks. They have a few different configurations and the price is great.

Superstore
Walmart
I only found Organic, so the price is a little steeper... Google Ceres.

If you want to go new I would check out Source, way cheaper than RGO or COI, better quality than Staples.

I got a nice desk from Bondar's furniture once, a step up from Ikea and a bit nicer than office type stuff.

Wayfair.ca? To be fair I haven’t looked at desks specifically, there. But they seem to have everything else under the sun, so it might be worth checking out.

What you get from The Source is no better than what you get from Ikea. chances are it is worse. At best it will all be low pressure laminate crap. They sell a lot of crap that comes over from China...DSI, LINKS and low end Global (which is Canadian).
You are better off sticking with one of the major contract furniture outfits. (HBI, RGO, Element, COI and McCrums) They will have good product and most likely a used section too and will provide warranty on their used items.
If you want to go down to the next tier, I would suggest places like CDI or Grand and Toy.

Get on Kijiji and pick up a desk actually made from real wood, for a price that won't break the bank.

That almost sounds like a Farmer's Market or Sunterra item.

T&T had Japanese mayo years ago, I only bought it one time for a friend who asked so I don't know if they still exist.
