Our PP and PK are great. I'd be happy with that.

Bieksa looks like a Grade A dirtbag even more now with the new haircut.

True. Flames might have the special teams advantage.

But it's just kind of annoying to watch.

Refs always call a lot at the outset of the playoffs. Then it settles into fewer and fewer calls as it moves along.

I just hope there's some modicum of consistency in how they're calling the games. As opposed to the norm...nevermind.

Remember that the playins are not really playoffs. They're qualifiers. So reffing is gonna be normal.

I kind of hope they use this opportunity to create some consistency in "playoff reffing" vs "reg season reffing" one of my biggest pet peeves of the game.

Last game was pretty good, arguably the best game 1 in terms of playoff intensity. Hoping to see the same in game 2.

Pretty good game today already. Tied up after 1 period.

Svechnikov is a complete stud. Tough and immensely skilled.

Carolina has so many good young forwards. Svechnikov, Aho, Terravainen, Foegele and Necas all 25 or younger.

And man do they horde Dmen. Hard to believe they are missing their two best RHD in Hamilton and Pesce yet still ice a Dcore of Slavin, Edmundson, Vatanen, Skjei, Gardiner and Fleury and they still have Jake Bean, Gustav Forsling and Joey Keane in the minors.

Did Dougie make the trip? Is he expected to play soon?

On the broadcast they said he is close.

After watching them twice now though...im not even sure they need him. Yikes that team is quick and the defence jumps up all over the place.

As timbit noted earlier...Svechnikov is a beast.

Rangers have been in this series for maybe two periods total. I'm watching with my gf, who's a Rangers fan, and just very quietly bringing her food.

Hurricanes look real good.

Looking like a good shot for a sweep by the Hurricanes.

I can't believe how bad the Rangers have looked to be honest. Thought they'd continue their roll from the spring but their top guys just don't have the same jump. Don't really have invested interest either way, just surprised as I thought the Rags would be the team with jump, not the Canes.

Also, Trochek looking like an awesome add for the Canes, though not really surprised.

Another top 6 center traded and doesn't end up on the Flames.
